April to June 2017sAre you expecting a Free and Fair Election in Fiji come 2018? Yeah right! Here's a sign that it won't be. Khaiyum has engaged NADRA, a Pakistani company, to manage Fiji’s 2018 election system. This is the same company, as reported by the Pakistan Inter Services Intelligence, whose top ranking officers helped terrorists and other miscreants obtain fake Pakistan national identity cards.
Reports also suggested authorities are currently investigating officials for allegedly issuing ID cards to militants, including some linked to al Qaeda, in return for bribes as small as US$100. Radio Pakistan reported that Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar directed concerned authorities to take action against those involved in issuing the fake identity cards and passports. This is clearly a company of low morals and ethics and one that can not be trusted to manage any election system. So why has Khaiyum engaged their services? There does not seem to have been any public tender issued for such a service. So how was NADRA awarded the contract? And what are the terms of the contract? With all this secrecy it can only mean that dirty tactics and vote rigging are involved. NADRA does not provide much hope for a free and fair election in Fiji come 2018. So ALL Opposition parties must be vigilante and demand transparency and access to any and all works undertaken by NADRA. They must provide their own experts to verify that the work done by NADRA is free from corruption and vote rigging. Click HERE or HERE to read more or see these links: https://tribune.com.pk/story/987747/unfair-criticism-nadra-may-shy-away-from-election-duties/ https://tribune.com.pk/story/935743/illegal-immigrants-fia-arrests-nadra-official-for-registering-aliens/ Fiji purchased 10 refurbished ADF Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicles (PMVs) from Australia for millions of dollars. Of the 10, three were sent to Fiji.
Meanwhile Fiji citizens affected by TC Winston still remain in leaking and muddy tents and poverty. Their children attend school also in leaking and muddy tents. Its been over a year since TC Winston. Over a hundred million in cash was donated for the victims but still the wait for assistance. This just shows how Bainimarama is willing to use the people's pain and suffering to collect donations and spend it on the military who keep him in power. According to the government's publication, Fiji Sun, the lessons learnt in 2014 surrounding the kidnapping of 45 Fijian troops serving in Syria has prompted Government to modernise Fiji’s peacekeeping capacity. Hence the bushmasters. BUT the Fiji soldiers weren't kidnapped. They were captured! Because they surrendered like cowards! The first in Fiji's military history! Remember that Filipino soldiers where also in the same situation as the Fiji soldiers, but they bravely fought their way to freedom, while the Fiji soldiers just surrendered! So it seems that the bushmasters will be used as an escape vehicle if Fiji soldiers are ever attacked again! Maybe it would be better and a far cheaper option for the Fiji military to actually recruit brave officers who can lead the soldiers and fight their way out of trouble, like the Filipino's did! Then they could spend the millions on the victims of TC Winston, where help is actually needed at home, instead of on soldiers showing off when they will only surrender again! The Fiji Times newspaper reports the corrupt and lying dictator, Voreqe Bainimarama,
urging 124 new soldiers to stay true to the oath they have made to the Fijian people and the country. Yeah right! Bainimarama told them that "Military life is not easy, it requires courage", which Bainimarama displayed none of, when he abandoned his men and ran for his life like a little girl at the start of the mutiny on 2 November 2000. Now he only acts tough when his many body guards are around him. "You need to endure the challenges in order for you to learn the things that you were not familiar with before," said Bainimarama. Given his record the soldiers, no doubt, can expect to learn how to lie, how to beat up and torture innocent fellow citizens and how to ignore corruption by Bainimarama and his family and friends. The treasonous dictator, Bainimarama, reminded the soldiers to believe in themselves first as they would be given more responsibilities to take care of. "You might be called in for peacekeeping duties and maybe called in to look after our country from those who want to create conflict in our country." In other words, to protect the corrupt, rapist, murderer and lying dictator from being arrested and sent to prison for his crimes. This is his legacy. May 2017“Where is the level playing field?” (earlier version in FT 20/5/2017)
Every proud Fijian remembers how their team destroyed Great Britain to win the historic rugby sevens gold medal at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Right! What a fantastic feeling it was for the proud people of Fiji and their supporters! What a feeling! BUT take a step back and just imagine for a minute. Imagine how you would feel if before that Rio final Fiji was told that the game referee, TMO, linesmen and officials were all members of the same Great Britain team. In addition, Great Britain would make up the rules for the game, but that rules only applied to the Fiji team. Britain did not have to follow the rules. Wow! Imagine that! No neutral and independent officials! How would you feel? Would you feel cheated? Angry? Mad? Or maybe scream out, protest and do what is needed to ensure their is fairness and a level playing field before and during the game? Well, any team having to face such a situation would cry foul, protest and insist on fairness! Wow, just imagine how unfair such a game would be from the start! But this is exactly what the Fiji Opposition parties are up against for the upcoming 2018 General Elections. Prof Wadan Narsey's article explains how the rugby-mad Fiji public would be thoroughly disgusted if one Team (FFP) insisted on making the “rules of the game” by themselves insisted on appointing the referees – Fiji Electoral Commission (FEC) and the Supervisor of Elections (SOE) insisted that the “Upstairs Referee” or TMO must be the Solicitor General (SG) who only answers to the Team Captain of FFP insisted on changing the rules of the game (“moving the goal posts”) as the game goes on. But that, says Prof Narsey, was the reality with the 2014 elections, which were clearly unfair to the Opposition parties, small parties, Independents, and local communities of voters who could not elect an MP unless their candidate belonged to a large party. The current FEC should note that these unfair aspects and the need for changes were diplomatically [gutlessly] pointed out by the Multinational Observer Group (MOG) and also by the previous FEC in their Annual Reports for 2014, 2015 and 2016. So Prof Narsey asks if the rugby-mad Fiji public have the commitment and courage to call for a “level playing field”? Click HERE to read more. Fiji's megalomaniac and corrupt AG and Economy Minister, Aiyaz Khaiyum, while responding to a question in which he was asked if Government planned to increase the salary for Fijian teachers considering the work that they did, stated that "NO real market approach had been set in Fiji for the salary of civil servants". So what market did khaiyum use to set Bainimarama's very high salary?.....
Khaiyum continued that "One thing of course that has failed to happen in Fiji for civil service is that there has been no real market approach with civil servants' salary..... You know, trade unions usually say 'give everybody a pay rise' and it does not work that way because of course there are some good teachers and there are some bad teachers." Khaiyum added that there should be a distinction for rewarding workers in conjunction with their qualification and that Government hoped to improve on this issue in its next budget announcement. This is fantastic, right! Because Fiji's dictator, JV Bainimarama, as PM is the head of the civil service, and therefore sets the benchmark for the whole civil service, right! JV Bainimarama has no qualifications, is a thug, committed treason and sedition, lies, and committed rape and murder, but he earns more than the leaders of India and China with far larger economies and population! Its highly unlikely that the leader's market was used to set Bainimarama's salary. This suggests that qualified civil servants should be able to expect high salaries too! Right! After all, JV Bainimarama keeps harping about his so-called "equal citizenry"! Look also at the commander of the RFMF, NAupoto, and the Commissioner of Police, Qiliho, they too were promoted with no qualifications and given huge pay rises in excess of 200% Therefore, more qualified civil servants, as equal citizens, should be able to expect a similar and fair deal. Right! Unfortunately not! This is Fiji, a dictatorship, with no rule of law, nepotism and corruption to the core! There is one set of rules [no market standard] for the dictator, his family and friends and another set of rules [market standard] for everyone else! Investors know about this and they keep well away. JV Bainimarama and khaiyum have also rolled out their latest tool, Professor Partha Gangopadhyay, to tell the people why they should be happy to receive a minimum wage of $2.32 per hour while the corrupt Bainimarama and khaiyum pay themselves and their friends huge salaries. “Minimum wage is not the only tool to fight poverty but it is an important tool and it has to be used along with other tools,” said the latest tool, who also highlighted that an increase in the minimum wage could cause a decline in the economy or cause unemployment. What he is saying is that you the workers must carry the burden and struggle on working hard for minimum wage, so that the greedy businesses can maximize their profits. Meanwhile, Fijis dictator earns more then the leaders of India and China, and in addition to his other perks [free house, free transport, free travel and an expense account] he pays himself an extra $3,000 a day for every day he is away from Fiji. This includes attending rugby 7's matches and useless meetings on the taxpayers account! So, do you really think that these are the actions of a person who gives a damn about the people of Fiji? No way! Khaiyum's Final Solution Thesis - Cultural Autonomy, the implications for the nation state, the Fijian experience
This post addresses the many requests from angry bloggers wanting to know more about Khaiyum's nasty sunset clause and what he has in store for the indigenous peoples.of Fiji and Rotuma. Click HERE to read the article on C4.5 about JV Bainimarama’s anti-Fijian policies driven by Khaiyum’s genocidal 'sunset clause' thesis on how to destroy Fijian cultural autonomy. Click HERE for a copy of the thesis posted on C4.5. Fiji's Parliamentary Speaker, Luveni Jiko, claims that she had severed all ties with the FijiFirst party when she resigned from the party. She also said "she was strongly cognisant of the need to always take decisions and utterances that were totally absent of perceived party or personal bias". What a load of rubbish! Her decisions and actions as speaker clearly shows that she has low scruples about lying to the people of Fiji, when in fact all decisions are pre-approved by Khaiyum or quickly over turned when khaiyum or bainimarama say so. So how exactly is she impartial? Sadly, she isnt!
Fiji is a dictatorship! So Luveni, like all other government ministers and officials, including Fiji's Commissioner of Police Qiliho, Military Commander Naupoto, the Commissioner of Prisons Francis Kean, Ashwin Raj, Shameem and the entire judiciary, all serve at the pleasure of Fiji's corrupt, lying and murdering dictator and his puppet master, khaiyum. All those with independent thought and high moral standards have been removed. Whats left, has floated to the top. Click HERE to read more. April 2017How thick is thick? What does it say about Fiji's megalomaniac and corrupt AG-Khaiyum, when Fiji's Prime Minister and dictator, JV Bainimarama, requires headphones, and an interpreter, to understand his ranting in parliament.
The two sit side by side so it cant be an issue of clarity, right? So is the problem with Khaiyum and his ranting in English, which Bainimarama can only understand in another language? Or does Bainimarama himself need a special interpretation using very basic and simple words? Maybe Bainimarama's wearing the headphones just for show, to fool gullible viewers into thinking that he is some sort of genius? Maybe someone even told him that he looks intelligent with the headphones on. No! He does not! Whatever the reason, the picture shows a confused looking JV Bainimarama wearing headphones as Khaiyum rambles on. A senior military source suggested that Bainimarama might be using the headphones to listen to his favorite nursery rhymes. THE Royal New Zealand Navy inshore patrol vessel HMNZS Hawea will assist in the patrol and security of Fiji's exclusive economic zone (EEZ). The New Zealand Defence Force said this would be the first time for a navy inshore patrol vessel to be deployed to the South Pacific.
Despite the hundred's of millions spent on the Fiji military, by the dictator JV Bainimarama, not much is spent on maintenance and repairs. The bulk is spent on higher-salaries and benefits to trick the gullible rank and file into supporting and protecting Fiji's corrupt, lying and murdering dictator, JV Bainimarama and his corrupt family and friends. This is corruption and a manipulation of the armed forces against the very people of Fiji whom they are supposed to protect and serve! Many still don't realise that since Bainimarama's coup, the Fiji armed forces is being filled with many intellectually challenged individuals looking for work and prospective travel overseas. Bainimarama has devalued the code of Fiji's once proud and respected military! Under Bainimarama honour, integrity, respect, duty and courage have become mere empty words. None of which now stands for defending the people, the people's constitution and people's freedoms. One of Fiji's original coup plotters, the corrupt and racist Minister for Defence and National Security, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, who was demoted from Foreign Minister, to enable JV Bainimarama to enjoy free travels to attend rugby 7's matches and useless meetings, said that the NZ Defence minister had kindly agreed to send the boat to help with the surveillance and monitoring of Fiji's EEZ. A few Fiji naval officers will also be on board as part of training. The Fiji Times reported that five people were awarded with the Order of Fiji awards for their service and contribution to the country. Basically, it is awarded to the friends and supporters of Fiji's corrupt and lying dictatorship.
The Companion of the Order of Fiji, the highest award out of the five that were awarded was given to Ikbal Jannif, for his eminent achievement and merit of the highest degree in service to Fiji or to humanity at large. Hafizud Dean Khan and the dictator's brother in law, Francis Bulewa Kean, who was found guilty and incarcerated for kicking a young man to death, received the Officer of the Order of Fiji. The Medal of the Order of Fiji was awarded to Jane Ricketts with the Service Medal Award going to former Commissioner of Fiji Corrections Services, Major General (retired) Ioane Naivalurua, for his long and faithful service by senior officers. Fiji's Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Robin Nair, resigned from his position stating that “I came here to fix a few things and now things are looking much better. Just want to relax and enjoy my time a little bit.” Yeah right! So what did he fix?
He was also the Fijian ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, where he played an instrumental role in securing the release of 45 peacekeepers who had quickly surrendered and where held hostage by the Al-Nusra group. Millions of dollars where paid to release the hostages. There was a rumour at the time that this was a setup arranged by Khaiyum and Nair with the Al-Nusra group and a third party, to make Bainimarama look good before the elections by appearing to have freed the soldiers. The truth is still out there! But the fact remains, that this was the first time in Fiji's history that its soldiers surrendered, and so quickly, without putting up any resistance. Yes, the leader of the 45 was the same bugger who tortured and beat up innocent citizens back home in Fiji. But he wasn't so tough then. What a joke! This is the Bainimarama legacy, lots of showing off, loud talking and acting tough back home because no one else has guns! But as soon as bullets came flying their way the Bainimarama officers showed their true colours! The other real brave soldiers just had to follow orders and surrender. Meanwhile, the nearby Philipino unit refused to surrender and fought their way to safety! But dont forget that at the start of the mutiny on November 2nd, 2000, when the bullets started flying, JV Bainimarama abandoned his men and ran away like a scared little girl, down though the casava patch! This big bully, JV BAinimarama, was so scared that he shit in his pants like a baby! It was also not his last. A senior army officer summarised the event perfectly when he jokingly said, "it was raining that day, but there was dust in the air!" Fiji's corrupt, lying, treasonous, rapist and murdering dictator, JV Bainimarama, removed the democratically elected Government and got rid of the indigenous Great Council of Chiefs [GCC].
Since then he and his corrupt, megalomaniac, puppeteer, Khaiyum, have continued to attack, dismantle and usurp power from Fijian institutions. They also:
Now its the control of the village councils and the Turaga-ni-koro [headman]. JV Bainimarama has dictated, under the pretense of wide spread consultations and approval, that different ethnicities are allowed to become the village turaga-ni-Koro if they live within the village boundaries and are appointed by the village council. This is just another step towards the removal of indigenous cultural autonomy. So what are the indigenous Chiefs and leaders doing to protect their rights? Not much. So far they remain silent with only a few voices making the stand! What they need to do is grow the right stuff and stand up as a people and say "stop" to this treatment by JV Bainimarama. They need to start showing courage and leadership for their people, just like a lone Chief did when she stood her ground against the kaisi-bakola and dictator JV Bainimarama and his thugs. Radio NZ reports that Fiji's director of Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission, Ashwin Raj, has made another Gnomic Pronouncement [Raj's words]. Raj says it's time to think about laws to regulate racist hate speech on social media starting with Facebook. Oh really!
This is basically another attempt by the corrupt Bainimarama dictatorship to restrict free speech before the 2018 general elections. They do not want the truth about their lies, corruption, nepotism, land theft and indigenous Fijian cultural genocide from being told to all Fijians. Yes, Fijians across the world are using social media to inform their friends and families about the truth! Facebook has become the voice of the oppressed peoples, among other things, used to reveal the truth about Bainimarama and his megalomaniac puppeteer Khaiyum. For example, how they have used the victims of TC Winston who, after a year since the cyclone, still live in tents. Their children attend school in leaky and muddy tents when over $150 million in cash had been donated to help the victims. So where did the money go if the victims are still living in tents and poverty? Meanwhile, Bainimarama received $5 million dollars to renovate and upgrade is already luxurious Government supplied house. He already gets paid more than the leaders of China and India and they each a population of more than a billion. Fiji has less than a million people! The victims continue to suffer in silence, but Bainimarama has given himself yet another bonus, a $3,000 a day allowance for each and every day he is away overseas watching the Rugby 7's, holidaying or attending useless meetings and conferences all at the taxpayer's expense. These are just a few examples. The Auditor General's reports have highlighted more corruption under Bainimarama. And facebook has allowed Fijians to explain it's meaning to their family and friends back in their villages and communities across Fiji. There's many more stories about Bainimarama and his megalomaniac puppeteer Khaiyum's corruption, rigged elections, racism, indigenous cultural genocide, and destroying key industries like fishing and sugar. Reality paints a far different picture to Khaiyum's fancy words about how great the economy is. It isn't. True investors are staying away with the country spending more than it earns. Fiji's national debt has increased by $2 billion, and mother nature has revealed the cheap construction of the roads, obliviously done to cut expenses and increase profits for the contractors. Now more millions are needed to fix the roads and bridges, and the cycle continues. So Facebook has enabled Fijians, of all races, the world over, to connect and share their stories good and bad. The mix of good and nasty words used in comments highlights the different levels of intellect across the spectrum, all giving their opinion, some true, some false and some defiant. The truth is the enemy of the dictatorship adamant to remain in power, by hook or by crook or by force. But the people are communicating and the message is getting out to more Fijians who are becoming more enlightened. Facebook is a safe haven away from Bainimarama's draconian media decrees and intimidation back in Fiji. Yes, Facebook has given the oppressed people, and the corrupt crooks too, a voice where they can express themselves freely and anonymously without fear of intimidation or torture by Bainimarama and khaiyum's goons, who also jump online and harass and spit their nasty venom in an attempt to hide the truth. But the truth is simple, its a fact, true and pure. Fortunately, social media users have become expert at identifying these vile, nasty trolls and have unfriended them. Good riddance! According to Ashwin Raj, who is also the chair of Fiji's media authority, MIDA, who was speaking to FBC TV's 4 The Record programme, he said that racial stereotyping was flourishing on social media and it could descend into violence if left unchecked particularly ahead of next year's election. This sounds more like a threat against social media users! Raj also claimed that prominent people and politicians in Fiji are what he called 'trash talking' people via sites like Facebook. But the dictatorships's family and friends and supporters are doing the exact same thing! Even using facebook to threaten and falsely accuse pro-democracy advocates. Double standards! But Raj's own actions also speaks the same trash. He is the very person who sat in support behind Madame Nazhat Shameem-khan at the UN, when she insulted indigenous Fijians, calling them a privileged caste, in their own country! Raj also did nothing when the FBC insulted indigenous Fijians on national TV. Yet the FijiTimes CEO and management were arrested and charged for a similar activity. Raj is clearly applying double standards! The CEO of FBC is Khayium's younger brother! And now the FijiTimes CEO and senior staff have had their charges upgraded to sedition! What lunacy! Clearly, there is no rule of law in Fiji! In addition, Raj says that "the state [the bainimarama dictatorship] was internationally and constitutionally legally obligated to ensure that racial discrimination was prohibited". Oh really! So why dont they apply it to themselves and practice it, before pointing fingers at anyone else! This is Bainimarama's new Fiji, a nako state, where lady justice's blindfold has been thrown away and the rule of law has taken its leave! But not all is lost, not yet, the oppressed people have a voice through facebook and they are talking! Click HERE to read more. |
