August to December 2016Fiji's corrupt, lying and murdering dictator, JV Bainimarama, earns nurses average annual salary in just six days! His FijiFirst [in name only] Government also removed $34 million from the health budget, so hospitals have run out of medicines, supplies and toilet paper!
So where is all the money going?
The reality of Bainimarama and Khaiyum's greed. 10 months after TC Winston devastated Fiji its victims are still living in tents, struggling to make ends meet. While Frank Bainimarama has been travelling around the globe, attending rugby 7's matches at the taxpayer's expense, earning an extra $3,000 per day in allowances!
Now its December and a Tropical Depression (TD04F) is causing havoc with gusty winds, heavy rain and flooding in the Central and Northern Divisions of Fiji. Meanwhile, the corrupt and greedy dictators are hoping for more aid and donations. But less than $20 million of the $200 million Fiji received in aid and donations for TC Winston have been spent helping victims, the bulk of the money going to Bainimarama and Khaiyum's corrupt associates. THE FIJI TIMES states that the FRU has asked that former Fiji 7s coach, Ben Ryan, to move on and leave the team to Baber [the new coach]. In response, Ryan tweeted to Fiji Rugby, "If you want me to step back perhaps you should extend the gesture and remove my photo from your top banner on your website." The tweets have gone viral.
Ryan has maintained that he is still 100 per cent behind the Fiji team and "players don't deserve this treatment". The newspaper was reliably informed that Fiji 7s players are getting $50 a day while in Fiji during camps as allowances and $100 when they travel with the team. Meanwhile, Fiji's corrupt, lying and murder dictator, Frank Bainimarama, receives $3,000 per day in allowances. This is in addition to his annual salary which, when converted to Fiji dollars, is far more than the salaries paid to the leaders of China and India who each have a population of over a billion people. Fiji's population is just under a million. In 2012, says the Fiji Times, New Zealand Rugby Union annual 7s base salaries ranged from $25,000 to $45,000, plus $2000 for each tournament appearance. In a statement replying to revelations by Ryan, FRU chief executive officer, John O'Connor, who is also a close cousin to Bainimarama, said the union was waiting for Baber to make his own selection on players he wanted contracted. Meanwhile, the players are being exploited, thanks to Bainimarama's FAKE equal citizenry! Vodafone promised $40m in sponsorship, but it is nothing more than lies, to fool the people of Fiji. Where is it? WARNING about investing in Fiji. Snakes and Ladders 2.0.
The FIJISUN reports that the iTaukei Lands and Fisheries Commission is looking for a more respectable word to replace the term ‘bastard’ that is used in the Vola ni Kawa Bula (VKB). The VKB records all the clans of the 14 provinces in Fiji, children born out of wedlock have the initial ‘B’ written beside their names.
It's interesting that they are looking for another word that will mean the exact same thing! But why does the letter "B" need to be used at all? Isnt this just another form of racism? Does the label suggest that the blood and genes of that person is less "Fijian" or less "pure"? What a stupid application, especially in Fiji where the indegenous are already complaining about racism against their people, then they go and do it to their own kind! The FIJISUN reports Commission chairman, Ratu Vananalagi Vesikula, said they have received suggestions from the iTaukei cocmmunity that a more respectable and appropriate term to replace ‘bastard’ in the VKB. He said people have raised the issue because they find it disrespectful to see their names labelled as ‘bastards’ and we are thinking of the best word we can use instead of using the word bastard. WARNING to people thinking of investing in Fiji
KAREN SEATON – Canadian Citizen and Fiji resident permit holder, who lived on her property in Koro, was deported from Fiji. Click HERE to read Mick Beddoes' full account of what took place on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the Bainimarama Coup. Fiji First government Immigration officials broke into Miss Seaton’s room on Friday night, removed her mobile phones, denied her embassy consultation and deported her. This is part of her email Beddoes received at 4:49am REPRODUCED HERE From: Karen Seaton Date: Fri, Dec 2, 2016 at 11:50 PM ‘Am sitting in the airport, the immigration broke into my hotel room this morning and forcefully removed my phone, refused embassy consult and deported me, as far as L.A., will board in an hour’ I had just met Karen via email a few weeks ago, when she brought to me issues for which she had been seeking redress from Government without even a single response. I recommended she make a submission to the Justice Law and Order & Human Rights Committee which was hearing submissions on the ‘Code of Conduct Bill. She agreed, so traveled from Koro for the presentation on Friday at 12 noon. It was my opinion that the decision of government officials choosing not to respond to her multiple email pleas and submissions about her plight was inappropriate conduct by a government official and therefore testimony of Karen’s own life experience and the conduct of officials when dealing with her issues was relevant to formulating a Code of Conduct Bill to avoid such conduct occurring in the future. Essentially Karen Seaton and the many thousands of foreign property holders in Fiji are protesting the unjust nature of the retrospective Land Sales Act, which effectively removed the value of freehold. Not all foreign landowners are wealthy, many have saved up for decades and bought their plots in Fiji to retire to and build a small but comfortable retirement home. To be suddenly saddled with the need to raise $250,000 and build a home in 24 months or be fined 10% of the value of the land you bought and $100,000 if you don’t complete the building on time, would hurt even a wealthy property owner. The Law was enacted on December 15th 2014 and the 2 year period to build will end on December 31st 2016, so if the thousands of owners have not built their $250,000 homes by then, and many have not, then the penalty of 10% of the price they paid for the property will be applicable and payable at 6 monthly intervals until the home is built And anyone who contravenes this section shall be liable for a fine of $100,000. Karen Seaton made her submissions to the Committee on Friday. Peter Waqavonovono and I were present as Peter presented our paper on the Public Order Act as well as the Code of Conduct Bill and Information Bill. Karen did well, she was challenged multiple times by the Fiji First members of the committee and at one stage the Police were summoned to take her away. I asked for a 2 minute recess to allow me to speak to Karen/ This was granted and I gave her some suggestions that would help allow her to complete her submissions and table all her documents, she did it. And for standing up and protesting against the injustice done to her and many thousand others Karen Seaton was deported without being convicted and as far as I know no wrong doing has been proven. She has paid a price for speaking the truth. And we call this democracy? Many die hard FijiFirst Party and Bainimarama supporters are ecstatic at Fiji being on the world stage, with its new roads and free education, free bus fares, free milk and free medicine! In their delusion, however, due in part to a lack of education, greed or some intellectual handicap, they believe that it is free! It isn’t free! Somebody pays!
The Bainimarama Government has been borrowing lots of money to provide these “free services” and gifts, through loans that have been adding up. This is Public Debt that Fiji owes as a nation and it can’t be ignored or settled with a presentation of a tabua or a sevusevu! It has to be repaid. Greece, for example, unable to pay those who have lent them money, have become the beggars of Europe. So could Fiji's increasing Public Debt lead to a similar outcome? Prof Narsey’s two articles looks at how Public Debt is a time bomb waiting to explode in our faces, silently but surely eroding the welfare of future generations, just as cancers silently destroy the fabric of a human body over time. Click HERE to read Fiji’s Public Debt Nightmares and the Sleeping Monitors (2/12/2016). Click HERE to read Fiji’s Sleeping Public Debt Nightmares (ed. in FT 3/12/2016) The Fiji Times reports that three Opposition political parties have questioned the alleged impartiality of the Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem. This comes after a judgment was delivered by the Fiji Court of Appeal instructing that Saneem must comply with all the decisions and directions given to him by the Fiji Electoral Commission. So far so good!
But as Khaiyum's record shows us, we must wait and see how he will subvert the courts ruling to suit his own agenda. Meanwhile, the National Federation Party (NFP), Fiji Labour Party (FLP) and the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) can enjoy this tiny semblance of justice, no matter how short lived it may be. In a statement, says the Fiji Times, NFP president Tupou Draunidalo said the Fijian people deserved the highest ethical and professional standards from its election officials leading to the 2018 General Election. "I again state" she said, "it appears that the SOE Mohammed Saneem has not displayed the competence, neutrality, non-partisanship and maturity to hold the all-important constitutional role he has been given. It was an unprecedented move by any Supervisor of Elections in the history of Fiji's governance, who outrightly defied the Electoral Commission and rushed into having a ballot draw which favoured the political party of the ruling government. The Prime Minister should retake the responsibility of elections and ensure that responsibility is for merely administrative purposes like that of all previous prime ministers. He must ensure that this responsibility is not used to influence nor control the independence of the Fiji Electoral Commission and the Fijian Elections Office." SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka said the party was concerned Mr Saneem made submissions earlier this year to the Parliamentary Committee on Law, Justice and Human Rights that he be allowed not to follow directives of the commission. "The supervisor is also facing complaints about his impartiality and his behaviour towards journalists and members of the public, particularly on twitter, where he questioned the right of citizens to seek redress. "Such behaviour and this recent ruling put in question his suitability for this high office," Mr Rabuka said. FLP leader Mahendra Chaudhry called on Mr Saneem to resign from the position. "I don't know whether he should be now asked to resign. Because of the nature of issues involved here, I think it will only be right for Mr Saneem to vacate the office," Mr Chaudhry said. He added the party would be pursuing the matter further in relation to the disqualification of one of its candidates, Steven Singh from contesting the 2014 General Election. November 2016Fiji's dictator Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, set off on another expensive, taxpayer funded, holiday to Europe to meet the representatives of the British government and to attend the World Sugar Conference. But why him? Since Bainimarama took control of the Sugar Industry it has declined and gotten worse, making life even harder for cane farmers. Bainimarama failed but still keeps his job when there are much smarter, and more educated, people in Fiji who can do a far better job. Problem is, these smarter people will need to do the job right, which means Bainimarama and Khaiyum's corrupt business partners will lose out. Many people in Fiji know this, but what can they do about it? This is where the leaders of the Opposition Parties can and should lead the people to much needed change. Its easier said than done, but this is why the members of the Opposition were elected.
Meanwhile, Bainimarama and Khaiyum continue to mislead Fijians, waste public funds and pay themselves very high wages and allowances when they cant even tend to the needs of the people still living in tents, still struggling to survive, with their children still schooling in tents, nine months after the cyclone has past and millions of dollars have been donated to help them out from their predicament. Lady Justice was cured of her blindness in Fiji. Fiji's corrupt and incompetent DPP, Christopher Pryde, says No charges to be filed against FBC executives in relation to inciting communal antagonism. However, THREE senior officials of The Fiji Times and another man appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court charged with inciting communal antagonism.
The FBC broadcasted an item that was deemed offensive, while the The Fiji Times had also published information that was deemed offensive. The lucky thing for the FBC, is that its CEO is the younger brother of Fiji's AG who is also the dictator's puppet master, Khaiyum. So no charges by the bent New Zealand DPP. The Fiji Times, however, has no such luck, not even Lady Justice! But there is no outcry from the Opposition. No protest in the streets! After all Fiji is a dictatorship with thuggery and No rule of Law. And it will continue to be so until the people take a stand together, not individually, but together and say stop! no more! enough is enough! Ten years later
October 2016Frank Bainimarama Assaulted Pregnant Lady, Killing her Baby!!
Here's a reminder of the type of coward and low-down bakola dog that Frank Bainimarama is. Mark Edge retells Laisa Digitaki's story about what happened to her on the night of Christmas Eve, 24th December, 2006. She was pregnant at the time when forced to lay down while Frank Voreqe Bainimarama jumped up and down on her back, killing her baby!
Digitaki's story was first posted on Fiji Village in February 2007 (since taken down) and subsequently on other blogs. It also corroborates Peter Waqavonovono's story of ill treatment by Bainimarama. Click HERE to read Laisa Digitaki's statement and the sequence of events surrounding the ROUNDING UP AND BASHING of five Pro-Democracy individuals by the RFMF. Addressing Parliament the dictator PM, Bainimarama, said, "the Itaukei are not disadvantaged in anyway at all and to say otherwise is a lie".
The Hon. Nawaikula, however, corrected what he called was "lies made by the Prime Minister to Parliament on Monday 26th September 2016." He gave a few examples of disadvantages faced by native Fijians, on daily basis. These include:
Prof Narsey's article, "Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi: a national treasure set aside" talks about Ratu Joni as a person of stature, who had the capacity to bring opposing views or even warring factions together. Sadly, his talents were not taken advantage of by those in power and their advisers.
It is ironic, writes Prof Narsey, that with his untimely passing, Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi now receives an endless series of accolades: “a great son of Fiji, a brilliant mind, a wise adviser, a meritorious high chief, a pillar of ethics, a font of humility, a committed social reformer, a defender of the weak and vulnerable, an irreplaceable loss for Fiji”, … and many more. These accolades are fully deserved. But their delivery only after Ratu Joni has passed on, underlines the harsh historical reality that those who assumed power with the 2006 military, including some who are praising him now, were complicit in Ratu Joni’s ejection from his high office of Vice President of Fiji, where his widely acknowledged and scarce talents were so badly needed. Click HERE to read more. September 2016Franks Broadcasting Centre, the FBC, reported the dictator, Frank Bainimarama, saying that the Fiji navy boat RFNS Kiro was unsalvageable
Suggesting that after numerous unsuccessful attempts to rescue the navy patrol boat Bainimarama decided that it may be left on the Cakauyawa reef where it had run aground. “I've told the Commander of the RFMF MIlitary and also the Commander of the Navy" says Bainimarama, "to again, have a look at it cause we maybe wasting a lot of resources and time trying to get it floated again because the way its sitting now, I think its beyond that.” The new Defense Minister – Ratu Inoke Kubuabola says he’s been given a brief on the RFNS Kiro and has requested more information. DICTATOR BAINIMARAMA'S "EQUAL CITIZENRY" raises its ugly head again with members of the transgender society facing ongoing discriminatory remarks in public.
The issue was raised at the youth forum in Labasa when a transgender informed the [biased] Parliamentary Speaker "Doctor" Jiko Luveni about inhumane and degrading experiences. He claimed the remarks were also made by civil servants riding around in government vehicles. Dr Luveni replied that their rights were protected in the 2013 Constitution and should be upheld. Don't hold your breath! Unfortunately, the rights and safety of people in Fiji is dependent upon the mood of the intellectually challenged. Click HERE to read more. Fiji's corrupt and lying Finance Minister, Khaiyum, said the 2016 National Budget makes a bold statement - Its shows how the dictatorship believes in the people. Yeah Right!
What a joke! The NZ Herald reports that Authorities in Fiji detained the leaders of two opposition parties and a senior trade union official after they took part in an event to discuss the country's constitution. The event coincided with Fiji's first public holiday to celebrate its 2013 Constitution. A celebration filled with rows of empty seats that strongly suggests a lack of support by many, including from indigenous Chiefs, opposition party leaders, their supporters and ordinary citizens.
Remember that this is the same 2013 Constitution that was forced onto the people of Fiji by the Dictator, Bainimarama, and his puppet master, Khaiyum. See previous article. Fijivillage received confirmation that NFP Leader Biman Prasad, trade unionist, Attar Singh, SODELPA Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka and Tupeni Baba were taken in for questioning by Police. 7 SEPTEMBER - Fiji's new Constitution Day, celebrating Treason, Murder, Rape, Dictatorship, Corruption and Oppression under Frank Voreqe Bainimarama and his military goons.
A woman was sentenced to one month in prison for begging, while the Bainimarama crooks stuff their faces and live the high life at the taxpayer's expense.
FIJI'S DICTATOR, Voreqe Bainimarama, while opening the head teachers national conference in Labasa [Fiji Times Friday, September 02, 2016] shared memories of how his mum used to work late at night to prepare her school work. His mother, Lice Bosekoviti Bainimarama, who died in 1993, was a primary schoolteacher.
Sitting among the teachers the dictator said "I wish my mum was alive as I see you teachers this morning. She did not enrol me at the school she taught in so I attended other schools." Why was this? All my teacher friends had their children attend the same school they taught in. Their children were also in the top ten in class. The dictator, however, went on to make "an appeal for teamwork in our education sector for all our stakeholders to work together in a more co-operative and collaborative fashion." This", said the dictator, "can only be achieved if the school teachers displayed the same teamwork that the Fiji rugby 7s team displayed on the field in Rio". He forgets how the 7s team achieved that teamwork, and continued, "this is a golden age for Fiji and never before have we been so united and so proud. We must seize this moment and harness the spirit of our people to take Fiji to the next level. We must ride that wave of euphoria, tap that spirit of intense national pride and redouble our efforts to create a better nation, a fairer nation because an opportunity like this comes along very rarely."..Meanwhile his corruption, nepotism, cronyism and oppressive rules and regulations remain unchanged and in force. Picture tells the story
Fiji's Independent DPP Christopher Pryde - Yeah right!
Bainimarama puts Khaiyum's hurt feelings before Fiji!
Yes Bainimarama did not care about Fiji when he ordered Kataunibau kicked off the Fiji 7s team to Rio. Military sources indicated that there is truth to a Facebook post by Rajendra Chaudhry, suggesting that the Fiji 7s rep, Isake Kataunibau, was kicked off the Fiji team to Rio because he had vented his frustration at Khaiyum during a flight back to Fiji. The thin-skinned, childish and sissy Khaiyum complained to Bainimarama crying to have Kataunibau punished. Wow! what a suki. But isn't the winning of Fiji's first Olympic gold medal more important than Khaiyum's hurt feelings? Apparently not! The nako Frank Bainimarama reacted in his usual childish manner, throwing a tantrum and dictating that Kataunibau be dropped from the team to Rio. Wow! The media reported that Kataunibau was no longer on the team due to an injury. But a few days or so before Rio, Kataunibau was reported to have played in Singapore. So what kind of nasty injury did Kataunibau have that prevented him from playing in Rio but was able to play in Singapore? What for it! Isake Kataunibau's injury is called "khaiyum-ssisy-litis". YES Bainimarama put Khaiyum's hurt feelings BEFORE the national interest of Fiji. This is not the act of a leader nor is it an act of a person who puts Fiji First. FIJI'S taxpayer funded MASCOT at Rio Olympics, the corrupt, murdering and rapist Frank Bainimarama!!
Frank Bainimarama likes to stand on his soap-box and show-off to the crowds by barking out orders, as if he is some kind of intellectual problem solver. Far from it! Frank isn't even close!! But it's easy for Bainimarama to stand on his soap-box and talk shit when no-one is allowed to ask him hard questions, or they face getting a hiding or lose their jobs, or both!.
The poor civil servants, however, get the blame for Bainimarama's incompetence, when they are unable to decipher Bainimarama's nonsense and can't fix the problems because they are not given the appropriate funds and resources to do so. See more at Mick Beddoes While holidaying in RIO at the Fiji taxpayer's expense, Dictator Voreqe Bainimarama had the cheek to question the Methodist Church allowing SODELPA to hold a Church service at one of its churches, while the church had refused to take part in the multi faith thanksgiving service organized by the military for 45 soldiers who were released after being held hostage in the Golan Heights.
Remember, the officers among the 45 soldiers are human rights abusers, who beat-up and tortured citizens back in Fiji. However, when these so-called tough guys were faced with an enemy that also had guns, they quickly surrendered without a fight. The first ever surrender of an entire Fijian unit in Fiji's history! Meanwhile, a nearby Philippino unit courageously fought their way to safety!! Fiji's military, through its corrupt Commanders, keep Bainimarama in power and out of prison where he belongs for his crimes of treason, murder, rape, corruption and disobeying orders. Bainimarama's military goons intimidate and abuse citizens on Bainimarama and khaiyum's behest! So why the hell would any rational person want to thank the almighty for the safe return of these soldiers? So that they can return and keep the dictator in power and continue to abuse citizens who do not agree with dictator? Hell no! Consider this story of a woman, a wife and a mother to two young children under 7 years old. She was regularly punched, kicked, slapped and had her hair pulled by her abusive and domineering husband. Then one fine day, the husband was involved in an accident. He survived but the poor sod had to be hospitalized, for four weeks. These were the best four weeks for the woman and her children. A Godsend? After so many years of abuse she knew what it was like, once again, to live in peace. Unfortunately the ass-hole husband did recover and was to return. So, how do you think this story ended? Did she jump for joy and give thanks to the almighty for saving her husbands life and returning him to them?.... But speaking to Fijivillage from RIO, Fiji's corrupt Bainimarama said it is insulting to the soldiers who were held captive and their families and friends because when the government organized the multi faith service to thank the Almighty for their release, the Methodist Church, through Reverend James Bhagwan, said that they refused to participate because it was political in nature. FIJI'S CORRUPT AND LYING AG-KHAIYUM tells farmers in Seqaqa not to read the Fiji Times newspaper. He was responding to a farmer's concerns regarding an article on a proposed project at the Labasa Fiji Sugar Corporation [FSC] mill.
Khaiyum forgets that the purpose of a newspaper is to keep its readers informed of events that concern them, both national and international. Unlike the Fiji Sun, which is pro-government and not pro-truth, the Fiji Times provides various opinions and different points of view so that its readers, across the nation, are better informed of issues affecting them. This includes highlighting LIES told by Bainimarama and Khaiyum. Khaiyum told Mr Ali that he never reads The Fiji Times and that he was serious about his statement that they too should not read the Fiji Times because it spread rumours. Yeah right! Mr Ali advised the AG that the Fiji Times had only reproduced the statement made by FSC management, Mr Khan, but Khaiyum still insisted that, irrespective of that, they should stop reading the newspaper. The Fiji Govt website says that Fiji's dictator and most corrupt PM VOREQE BAINIMARAMA is leaving for Rio De Janeiro with the hopes and prayers of every Fijian for our best Olympic Games ever.
But why is he going to Rio? And who is paying for his trip? Like all other previous trips that Bainimarama has made, even with his family, its all paid for by the Fiji taxpayer! Meanwhile, TC winston victims are still living in tents, children suffer from malnutrition, hospitals have run out of medicine, unemployment and crime is at an all time high. So why is the corrupt Voreqe Bainimarama going to Rio? Just showing off or more like he does not care about the people. REMEMBER that Bainimarama is corrupt and a liar, like when he lied to his Commander in Chief the president, in 2000, that all was okay with the nation and ran away to Norway while his CRW soldiers conducted the coup with Speight, under Bainimarama's orders. FIJI'S DICTATOR PM, Voreqe Bainimarama, while opening the USP Open Day, complained about what he called the "increasing misuse of social media" by people to create division along ethnic and religious lines in Fiji. He called on people to shame and expose these cyber thugs for creating disunity, which basically boils down to anyone who reveals the truth about his and khaiyum's corruption, lies and abuse of office.
In an attempt to stop people from revealing the truth on social media Bainimarama said everyone needs to make a personal commitment to work together – as one nation, one people – if we are to fulfill our destiny. Bainimarama is of course referring to his and khaiyum's destiny filled with corruption, lies, nepotism, dictatorship, no human rights, indigenous Fijian cultural genocide, land theft, avoiding prison for their crimes of sedition and treason and in Bainimarama's case, also murder of CRW soldiers, murder of a baby and rape. Under Bainimarama he and his corrupt family and friends have become the NEW ELITE who are above the law and are more equal than others. |
