January to March 2015
March 2015
Fiji's lying, corrupt and self-appointed dictator proved yet again, in Parliament, that wearing a suit does not make one smart or anymore intellectual, when he said that the word Fijian was coined by the English and it does not belong to the indigenous Fijians.
Fiji's self-declared intellectual and dictator also stated in Parliament that "I have said it before and I will say it again in this house the word Fijian did not exist before the arrival of the white men. It is an English name coined by the English to describe people from the place, the Tongans called Fisi which became Fiji, "Our ancestors had no concept of the name Fijian."..... .......okay, so does this also mean that the indentured labourers, who were introduced into Fiji to work the fields, by the English, do no belong to Fiji?.............. Food for thought? It is nice and heart touching to read about a poor person getting a new house, but it would be even nicer if the corrupt Bainimarama government actually paid for the houses themselves and that every poor family were given a house! The lucky poor have to come up with half the cost while the balance will be paid off by future generations and not by the illegal and corrupt Bainimarama government! Besides not all the poor will benefit from this scheme so how many of them are feeling forgotten and sad that they wont be getting a new house? Are you one of those unfortunate poor families? Bainimarama does not care. He just wants to trick the people into believing that he does care. Bainimarama does not care.
So if you have been living hand-to-mouth and using your money to bring up your children and help your extended families and friends survive, you are not on the lucky list unless you have managed to save money with all your financial responsibilities. Many pensioners can't even afford these homes. And they worked all their lives! Bainimarama deliberately halved their FNPF pensions while illegally increasing his own FNPF savings. So these nice gestures you see, while good for only a few, are all a trick. If Bainimarama was truly into helping the poor then why did he and Khaiyum cut the FNPF pensions without consultation and increase unemployment to its highest levels since independence? And why did Bainimarama also increase the cost of living in Fiji, making it even harder on the poor? Bainimarama's own Minister of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Rosy Akbar, has also called on the public to refrain from giving money to the street beggars. She is obviously not that "rosy" at all. So one or two nice gestures does not do the poor much good. It has to be everyone of them that benefits. Not just a few who are being used as political pawns by Bainimarama to trick you all into believing that he is better than he really is. Bainimarama is a liar! The good book also warns you about this type of person. So have you read your good Book and acted on it - or is it only a decoration and only for show? The ILO Governing Body has deferred its decision to appoint a Commission of Inquiry into worker’s rights in Fiji, until their November session. This was done following the Tripartite Agreement signed by the FTUC, FCEF and the Fiji military Government.
This agreement is to ensure that workers’ rights in Fiji will conform to the ILO Core Labour Standards. This means that all of Fiji’s labour laws and decrees that violate the ILO standards will need to be amended. But how realistic is this given that Bainimarama and Khaiyum have continuously lied to the people of Fiji, have no regard for ethics, are corrupt, live outside the law, control the courts in Fiji, still intimidate and have citizens beaten-up, control the media and have no regard for the shame they bring upon themselves or the good name of the Republic of Fiji. It would seem that these agreements are all for show, to appease and to trick the international community. Just like the laws and decrees in Fiji which only apply to anyone opposed to the military dictatorship and its corruption. Friends and families of the dictator and his conniving supporters live outside the law with impunity. Does the ILO really expect a change or are they merely content with just having all the right words, fancy phrases and commitments written down on paper and signed by all stakeholders – with no enforcement at all! Then, when the written agreement is breached there will be more expensive meetings and more written and signed agreements and many handshakes – also with no enforcement capabilities. Thus the cycle continues. This is an ideal environment for a criminal with their lawyers doing all the talking and negotiating with the courts over a long period of time. Meanwhile the criminals roam free and continue with their criminal trade. So how many agreements and handshakes or human rights breaches will it take before the ILO or the international community finally say to the sly and lying Bainimarama and Khaiyum, “Stop your lying! That’s enough!”………….Can you really see it happening? The true colours of the illegal Fiji Parliament were highlighted yet again when a member of the Opposition, Prem Singh, raised the issue of, Fiji born, Australian academic Professor Brij Lal and his wife, Padma Lal, being declared "persona-non grata" indefinitely. The phrase was introduced to Fiji by the English, and means that Prof Lal and his wife will never be allowed return to Fiji, the place of their birth, so long as Fiji is under Bainimarama and Khaiyum's corrupt and lying dictatorship.
In his response, the un-elected and puppet Minister for Immigration, National Security and Defence, Timoci Natuva, lied when he said that he had reviewed his predecessor's decision to declare Prof Lal and his wife persona non grata and therefore agreed with the decision. What a load of rubbish! Anyone who knows Natuva, knows that he is a sly, well dressed, jack-in-the-box puppet that springs out whenever he is told to do so by Bainimarama and Khaiyum. Therefore it is more than very likely that Natuva's review of the decision only involved a phone call to Khaiyum followed by ass-kissing. The duration of the ban is nothing more than Khaiyum throwing a childish tantrum, with influence, no doubt from his corrupt family and friends. However, the un-elected and moronic Speaker, Dr Luveni, intervened stating it was outside of the ambit of the debate. Really!... what about treason, murder, sedition and a rigged election?? But Opposition MP, Niko Nawaikula insisted that the Fijian Constitution guaranteed freedom of speech and questioned the Government's stance on the issue. BUT Natuva stated that it was the Government of Bainimarama and Khaiyum's prerogative. Fiji, stated Natuva, is a sovereign state. What utter rubbish! We all know that Fiji is run by a corrupt and lying dictator, Frank Bainimarama and his puppet master, Khaiyum and there is no rule of law, no free speech and no human rights. Prof Padma Lal wrote a comprehensive analysis of the problems of the Fiji sugar industry and is also the sister of Prof Wadan Narsey who is an economist, writer and former Fiji parliamentarian. He is also a prolific commentator on the key economic, social and political issues facing Fiji. Click HERE to read Prof Wadan Narsey's letter to the editor - “Fiji’s Animal Farm Continues” Letter to the Editor, 20 March 2015 Bainimarama and Khaiyum have proven that you don’t need brains, integrity or morals to stuff-up a country. For these two criminals it comes naturally through their blood lines, inheriting their family genes for corruption, lying, childish tantrums and a vile criminal character.
Since December 2006 Bainimarama has been on a crusade to stop the police from arresting him and sending him to prison. Then a sly opportunist and megalomaniac, Khaiyum, whispered his evil plans into Bainimarama’s ear on how he can save Bainimarama from going to prison while also receiving millions of dollars and free-rides stolen from the people of Fiji. The result of all this greed, corruption, lying to the people of Fiji and the mismanagement of Fiji resources is the demise of our sugar and fishing industry’s with the highest recorded levels of unemployment, highest cost of living and highest level of poverty and crime. The lowest levels include investments, which is all part and parcel of a corrupt and lying dictatorship stealing from the people. Bainimarama and Khaiyum’s lies has not diminished. They are claiming successes for the work done by others in the private sector. What’s even funnier is that they publicly reward themselves with garlands/salusalus, at every opportunity. Meanwhile the people observe in silence knowing too well that Bainimarama and Khaiyum’s corruption has only made matters worse. Click HERE to read Prof Wadan Narsey’s article on the New industries: government creators or free riders? (Fiji Times, 14 March 2014) , which provides a more detailed look into the Salusalu Industry. The Republic of the Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Commander, Brigadier-General Mosese Tikoitoga [Fischer] said that the RFMF [meaning Bainimarama and Khaiyum] was prepared to open up some of its books for scrutiny by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC). However, the puppet Commander also pointed out that the RFMF's private funds were always audited by external auditors. Basically, sources claim, the private accounts have not been audited as it involves Bainimarama's fraudulent use of the accounts..
However, the RFMF Commander, like a good scared little boy, did what he was told to do and appeared before PAC. Like a parrot he repeated his instructions saying that since 2010 the RFMF had strengthened its internal audit system. In 2010, sources say that access to the private accounts was restricted to Bainimarama and his goons. No one else had access to them. "The RFMF, continues the puppet Commander, has continuously updated our regulation, our financial manual, the first written in 2010. These are all done to continuously make the improvements as per the Auditor-General's report. BUT the auditor general was never allowed to access to the accounts. Brigadier-General Tikoitoga LIED to the Acting Auditor-General Atunaisa Nadakuitavuki. Both the RFMF and Auditor-General's Office will plot a way forward for auditing considering the 'layers' of private funds within the RFMF. But the RFMF is a government institution and therefore is answerable to the people and parliament for all its activities. The so called Private funds, if used illegally or fraudulently, could bring the RFMF and the Government and Fiji into disrepute. Hence the audits by the Auditor General to provide independent assurance to Parliament and to the people of Fiji that public sector agencies, including the RFMF, have used public funds legally in accordance with legislation and proper financial management rules and regulations. Government Whip Semi Koroilavesau suggested that these external audit reports of the private accounts be made available to the Public Accounts Committee. Yes, what "khaiyum" version will we be shown? The Fiji Sun reports the dictator, Voreqe Bainimarama, criticizing the Opposition Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa for boycotting the process to choose a new national flag.
The dictator shows his arrogance and disrespect for the people of Fiji when he says that he was surprised when he returned from Geneva to find that the Opposition is boycotting the national panel of citizens that we [meaning he and Khaiyum] are setting up to choose a new design for our [meaning their flag]. Because it is a Baini-Khaiyum flag that will be chosen, just like their 2013 Constitution, their peoples charter, their rigged elections, and their manipulated courts, etc, etc....... The people in Fiji have NO say in the matter!, under Bainimarama's dictatorship. Ro Teimumu said she would not name her two nominees for the panel because they wanted a national referendum to let the people decide whether to change the flag or not. Its is not Bainimarama's decision if the flag should change or not,. That decision belongs to the people of Fiji. BUT , how will any referendum, in Fiji, under a corrupt, lying dictatorship, produce free and fair results. Never! Not if the same corrupt crooks like the AG, Khaiyum, who rigged the 2014 elections in Bainimarama's favour, will be overseeing the referendum. It will just be a another rigged result with the corrupt international community all too ready to endorse it, while preaching democracy, transparency and justice! Diplomatic hypocrites - a polite term for the proverbial assholes! The Ministry of iTaukei Affairs has reiterated a LIE that the rights of the iTaukei are well protected under the 2013 Constitution. Native Fijian Rights are NOT Protected!
Bainimarama has proved that the Fiji Constitution can easily be removed and changed whenever he and Khaiyum feel like it. Bainimarama and Khaiyum deliberately ignored the peoples constitution drafted by the Prof Ghai Commission, after consultations with the people. They just froced their constitution onto the people. So how can any claim be made that the Indigenous Fijian Rights are protected. Remember, Bainimarama, a kai-loma, changed the name of the Fijian race to iTaukei, which means the owner of something - like the owner of toilet paper! So reading what Permanent Secretary, Savenaca Kaunisela, said during the iTaukei Institutions Public Consultations at Nauluvatu Settlement in Samabula, is nothing more than blatant attempt to fool the Indigenous Fijian people. The people are right to be concerned that the iTaukei rights are not considered in the Constitution brought about by the Bainimarama Government. Now the Bainimarama mouth pieces are trying to fool the people. Just read the lies pronounced by the puppet Permanent Secretary, Savenaca Kaunisela:
The state propaganda machine, Fiji Sun, reported the chairman of the National Defence Review Committee, EsalaTeleni, saying the Review will stop coups in Fiji. Funny thing is that Bainimarama and his group of corrupt, lying and conniving friends and family are behind the coups. So how do they intend to stop all coups – by ensuring the the very criminals behind the coups remain in power and out of prison.
Teleni said that the dictator, Bainimarama, had time and again, said there would be no more coups. Hello, if there is another coup than it will be to overthrow and remove the corrupt, lying dictator, Bainimarama, from office. So it is in Bainimarama’s best interest to ensure there are no more coups. "Our challenge now is to make sure that statement stays," said Teleni. Oh Really! Teleni said the new approach now was not that Fiji would have a major invasion, or enemies of Fiji from outside, but a lot of the security issues was now from within. And why is that Mr Teleni? If the dictator was elected by the people of Fiji, why would they want to remove him? The 2014 elections was not free and fair. It was rigged by Bainimarama to keep himself in power and out of prison. Bainimarama also lies to the people and then gets his soldiers to beat up anyone who disagrees with him. According to Teleni, the only way to manage and address the coups was to manage the people by making sure that they are at peace all the time. What peace, when there is no freedom of speech, no rule of law, no independent police force and a raving lunatic for an AG and PRime Minister? A fake peace! Teleni says that coups happened when there was insecurity and jealousy against some government policies. It’s exactly what happened to Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, Ratu Epeli Ganilau, Ratu Kubu abloa and their conniving and corrupt group of friends and relatives who wanted power and used the Indians as an excuse to overthrow Government. They were all behind the coups since the first one in 1987. So if Teleni wants to end the coups then all he needs to do is to just arrest Bainimarama, Khaiyum, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau, Ratu Epeli Ganilau, Kubuabola, and all their corrupt family and friends who are behind the coups. Simple?.....Yeah Right?! Teleni also said that the Fijian people and visitors must at all time, feel safe and secure wherever they lived in. Oh Really?! This is a joke, especially when it is the dictator, Bainimarama and Khaiyum, who have been sending their thugs in the police and army around to arrest, beat-up and intimidate citizens and deport expats who disagree with the dictator’s corruption, lies, brutality and treason. So how can any honest soul in Fiji, according to Mr Teleni, live harmoniously and have pride in their nation run by lunatics? Teleni then says that coups happened when security was not tight, but the review would address that. Does this mean Fiji will likely have an increased security presence, more spying across emails, phone-calls and text messaging, more intimidation, and assaults on citizens to keep everyone in-line and bowing to Bainimarama and khaiyums? Didn't Fiji's dictator, Frank Bainimarama, claim that Fiji is now safer under his dictatorship. Bullshit! It was just another LIE by Bainimarama!
FijiLeaks reports the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre as saying that their statistics show that about one in four women have been raped in Fiji. Coordinator Shamima Ali said the National Survey also shows that 16% of the women surveyed said their first sexual encounter was when they were under 15 years of age, and that they were forced to have sex. The statistics also shows that women in Fiji are NOT safe! Click HERE to read more. But do not forget that Bainimarama and his military goons, Ben Naliva and Rokoura have engaged in rape tactics at the camp and even stuck rifle barrels into the backsides of people. The Fiji soldiers and police officers know what these animals did and the stories get around via the kakase [gossip] channel. So Bainimarama has set an even lower standard for criminally minded to follow. They are just following and doing what their Prime Minister, Bainimarama, is doing. The state run FijiSun also reported that a young man raped a 63-year-old man who was visiting Fiji. Click HERE to read full story. Police statistics also show that crime in Fiji has grown and gotten worse since Bainimarama took over the country in a military coup in December 2006! The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, spoke of the dictator, Bainimarama, determined leadership on human rights reforms and said it was a rare pleasure to meet with the Head of Government of a country making such exemplary progress. Bloody unbelievable!!
Al Hussein even cited the dictator's complete abolition of the death penalty – a policy he described as noxious. Yes it is, but it was abolished for the BENEFIT of the dictator and his group of corrupt and treasonous family and friends! Makes one wonder how these twits ever made it into the UN. But then again, there are a lot of UN staff who boost about their employment in the UN, but they are shady or silent about how they got their job... .........Click HERE to read more of this story. Click HERE to read more at Fijileaks: Bainimarama seized power to avoid arrest and possible imprisonment with George Speight; Indo-Fijian beneficiaries of his 2006 coup had never raised their voices or their fists to demand for their rights; most crawled out of nowhere to take advantage of Bainimarama's bogus claims!
And, Bainimarama chose not to inform UN Human Rights Council that he has chosen a FFP MP and Lawyer Ashneel Sudhakar - 'Mr Cockroach Hunter' - to chair the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Human Rights, and that his Fiji Police are yet to take the lawyer into questioning for threatening Bainimarama's opponents with death by 'mortein' - the cockroach killer February 2015
Fiji's Land Force Commander and military spokesman, Colonel Sitiveni Qiliho, lied to the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence that the military would not take people in for questioning as that was the role of the police. Yet senior military sources claim that Qiliho is still responsible for carrying out the Dictator, Frank Bainimarama's wishes of intimidation and scare tactics against people that the dictator and his family and friends do not like.
The senior military sources also claim that Qiliho is responsible for a number of criminal activities that include:
What Qiliho actually means is that the RFMF is going through a process of deceiving the public that the military is resetting itself to the role defined by the illegal constitution. This is the same as Bainimarama claiming that Fiji would have free and fair elections, or that he was reducing corruption or that no member of his illegal government would stand in the 2014 elections. Yes its just the same old lies. As we all know, the dictator still pulls the strings of the Military and the Police, with Qiliho's help. This renders both the Military Commander Mosese Fisher/Tikoitoga and the Commissioner of Police, General Ben Groenwald, toothless puppets all dressed up for the act. Both these gutless bloody wonders take their orders from the megalomaniac AG, Khaiyum, who dictates to the police whom to arrest and whom to ignore. See case against MIDA Chairman, Ashwin Raj, who was arrested, jailed and then freed, with the complainants now being targeted. So it does not matter one bit what fancy words are used by the dictatorship and its puppets. What they say and what they actually do are not the same thing! Of course Qiliho's submission to the committee on the ratification of the United Nations Convention Against Torture (UNCAT), has already been pre-approved by Khaiyum for endorsement. But this does not mean that the Fiji Military or Police, under the dictatorship of Khaiyum and Bainimarama, will do the right thing by Fiji's citizens. Fiji Times reports that OPPOSITION leader Ro Teimumu Kepa defended herself from an attack from dictator Voreqe Bainimarama over her presence at parliament during the 2000 coup.
Ro Teimumu said she was in parliament at the height of the 2000 coup at the request of former president and Tui Nayau, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara and his wife, Ro Lady Lala Mara, who had sent her to inquire about the health and status of their daughter, her niece, now the First Lady Adi Koila Nailatikau. Adi Koila, a member of the then-Chaudhry government, was also taken hostage during the George Speight coup. Teimumu said the photograph of her speaking to George Speight was taken when she was asking for permission to speak to her niece. Remember that the CRW soldiers said that they were acting under orders from their Commander, Bainimarama, who had run away out of the country, just as Ratu Epeli Nailatikau had done before the Rabuka 1987 coup. Bainimarama, continued to give orders via telephone from the safety of Norway. The CRW soldiers also stated that they were waiting for Ratu Epeli Nailatikau to enter parliament and takeover from George Speight. BUT as the President Raut K Mara had refused to support the 2000 coup, Nailatikau buckled and cunningly retreated back into the shadows, leaving George Speight to take the blame. In early 2006 George Speight told Government that he was willing to reveal everything he knew about the 2000 coup - who the key players were, who provided funding and who supported it. BUT Bainimarama acted like the thuggish-bully he is and threatened Government against holding any such public hearing. Bainimarama should have been fired. But the gutless bloody-wonder who was also the then-VP had advised the then President who was also the Commander in Chief of the Fiji military, but an ailing man of very poor health, not to do anything. Click HERE to read more. The Fiji Sun reports Fiji's dictator Voreqe Bainimarama saying that the old days of certain elites getting more than their fair share of the national cake are over. But what the Fiji Sun fails to tell you is that the old elites have been replaced by new elites [Bainimarama and Khaiyum and their corrupt family and friends] who are more corrupt than any other government in Fiji's entire history! Bainimarama's corruption includes lying to the faces of the indigenous Fijian people in an attempt to turn them against the very people who protected them and their lands, culture and institutions. Remember, the good book reminds us all to beware of false prophets!
Speaking at Vunisea, Kadavu, during the opening of the new Kadavu Provincial Council office, Fiji's dictator Bainimarama lied when he said that the the FijiFirst Government stands for total transparency and accountability". When have they ever done that? The next time Bainimarama repeats this lie, ask him to give you an example of when he or Khaiyum have been transparent? Bainimarama stated that he will not tolerate any corruption whatsoever at the national level and I will not tolerate any corruption at the provincial and district levels. What a load of bullshit!. Bainimarama and Khaiyum are the most corrupt people. Just look at all the evidence posted across Fiji pro-democracy websites! Click here to read more of the lies by Fiji's dictator, Frank Bainimarama. The FijiTimes reports that FIJI'S first woman Speaker Dr Jiko Luveni achieved another milestone after she was named the UNFPA Pacific High-Level Champion.
She becomes the first in the Pacific including Australia and New Zealand to be invited to be an advocate by the United Nations Population Fund, previously named United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA). UNFPA Director and Representative Dr Laurent Zessler said the event of naming a Pacific High-Level Champion was a significant one. "This is the first time a person from the Pacific region, including Australia and New Zealand, has been invited to be an advocate for the United Nations Population Fund Pacific Sub-Regional Office," Dr Zessler said. Really?? Has the Pacific already reached the bottom of the barrel or is this dirty politics in play????? Dr Zessler ignores the fact that Dr Luveni and her husband, a senior army officer, committed treason by supporting the overthrow of Fiji's last democratically elected Government. Dr Luveni also achieved her position as first women speaker via a rigged 2014 election, which was not free and fair! "So as an organisation", says Dr Zessler, "UNFPA has to be very sure of potential candidates for such a prestigious position because the areas of development we work in can be very sensitive, culturally and socially........This suggests that the UN standards have dropped or that the UN silently supports dictatorships ?! Dr Zessler goes on with the rhetoric, "We are humbled and consider ourselves very fortunate that Dr Luveni agreed to be a champion for positive change in the areas we work in — Dr Luveni is not only passionate about issues stemming from sexual and reproductive health and rights, and youth but that as a former staff of the UNFPA." Remember that Dr Luveni defends rape and sexual assault on women by publicly blaming how women dress as the reason why men commit sex crimes?! So the women should dress themselves like Dr luveni, who wares an island version of a burqa, but without the head gear. So if your wife, daughter, mother or sister gets rapped, Dr Luveni says its their fault, because they didn't dress appropriately! Dr Luveni's actions in committing treason and supporting a dictator is a major concern for any parent and can not be held as an example for any young person on how to fulfill their potential? So is Dr Zessler for real? or is Dr Zessler just another "tit on a bull" and a prime example of evil being allowed to exist because "good men/women" choose to do nothing?! Fijileaks reports that Bainimarama and his Lilliputians are in Parliament because of Bainimarama's 2006 coup. Fijileaks also claims that Fiji's Foreign Minister, Inoke Kubuabola, stated that Khaiyum rigged the votes to get second highest number of votes to be "KING".
Kubuabola said, "I am saying this because my daughter and her friends VOTED FOR ME but when the votes were tallied from this constituency the result had NULL for me from this constituency-where did their votes go, ah, tell me" Click HERE to read more. SEE STORY AT C4.5. The Dictator, Frank Bainimarama, the gutless wonder, has called in the military to endorse his plan and to remind citizens that the Commander, Mosese Fisher/Tikoitoga, is only too ready to step in whenever he [Bainimarama] needs the army to intimidate the people and scare them into submission. This is dictatorship!
Just imagine if Mosese Tikoitoga actually had balls and did his job and defended the people of Fiji instead. Imagine that! Yeah right! The dictator's propaganda publication, Fiji Sun, reported that hansard reporters were trying to identify the Opposition MP who said “kaisi” and caused an uproar in Fiji's illegal legal Parliament.
The brutal dictator, Bainimarama, who regularly lies to and cheats the people of Fiji and who also committed sedition, treason, murder, rape and rigged the 2014 elections to stay out of prison, led the chorus of condemnation against the MP in question. WOW!! “It is very insulting to hear one of my members being insulted by one from across the room that side, with the iTaukei insult ‘kaisi’. This is not good in this House,” “It does not go well with the relationship we want to establish here and with the people of Fiji. Maybe we should have a mirror outside that door so that when you walk in have a look at the mirror," Bainimarama said. THE 2006 Bainimarama coup was never about stopping government corruption. Bainimarama wanted to keep his job but Government decided to replace him so after a war-of-words with the Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase, Bainimarama commeted sedition and treason and announced at a press conference on December 5 that he [Frank Bainimarama] had assumed the executive authority of the State and removed PM Qarase from office.
The dictator, Bainimarama, explained his actions by saying that the Qarase Government had “already conducted a ‘silent coup’ through bribery, corruption and the introduction of controversial Bill[s]”. Bainimarama than gave an already scripted and an illegal justification for the military takeover, referencing the “doctrine of necessity”. Since then Bainimarama and Khaiyum have become the two most corrupt people in Fiji's entire history. With their unqualified family and friends being appointed to senior Government positions and boards of companies, who in-turn have themselves indulged in corruption. The Fijileaks Investigation Team has been uncovering more evidence of the corruption. This includes the former i-Taukei Movement leader and racist, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, who is also the present Fijian Foreign Minister. Fijileaks reported that Kubu a bola did not dip into FijiFirst Party coffers to fight the September 2014 general election. Instead, the Fiji Retailers Association president Himmat Lodhia provided the funding for Kubuabola's campaign. Kubuabola and Lodhia have a criminal history together. For his money [bribes] Lodhia was rewarded with jobs for his two son's within Fiji's Foreign Affairs and senior positions also created for Lodhia's women. Does this also mean that most of the senior staff at Fiji Foreign Affairs are also unqualified and/or may have purchased or slept their way into these positions? Click HERE to read the full story at Fijileaks. The dictator's bugle blowing Maika Bolatiki, of the Fiji Sun, reports on another scam by Bainimarama and Khaiyum to show off that they are concerned about the people of Fiji. Bainimarama announces that he is not prepared to wait for Britain to do the right thing and compensate Christmas Island nuclear test survivors. Bolatiki, in his typical masi polo manner reports that in a historic announcement, Bainimarama said that we owe it to these men to help them now, not wait for the British politicians and bureaucrats. Fiji is setting an example that we hope Britain and other nations will follow. Does this example also include, treason, rape, murder, sedition and running from the law to avoid arrest and prison? What about rigging an election and stealing native lands and resources to the tune of over $100 million?
There is no argument here against the soldiers receiving this payment. These brave soldiers did do their duty for the country , and they do deserve to be compensated for it. What is objectionable is Bainimarama and Khaiyum showing-off and using these soldiers as political pawns. Bainimarama said that the compensation was a “modest token of what we [meaning what khaiyum decided was sufficient] can afford to finally acknowledge the great injustice that was done to them almost six decades ago.” What about the injustice for five CRW soldiers murdered on Bainimarama's orders. And the other CRW soldiers charged with treason in 2000, after following Bainimarama's orders to enter parliament and overthrow government. And what about the civilians beaten and murdered by Bainimarama's military and police goons and the unborn child that Bainimarama killed and laughed about after doing so. What about them?! Its fantastic that the twenty four survivors each received $9,855. They deserve it and much more. BUT remember that Bainimarama paid himself $180,000 for overthrowing the government and committing treason, rape and murder, and stealing native lands and insulting native Fijians and their chiefs and customs. So if Bainimarama was really concerned about righting this injustice he would, at least, have made the payments to all the more than 70 Fijian soldiers who, in 1958, were sent to take part in the British nuclear test programme at Christmas Island, now Kiribati. Paying the 24 survivors is a good start but the families of the other soldiers should also receive compensation. Bainimarama and Khaiyum can pay all the soldiers and the families if they want to, because they are paying themselves millions. But this is not their intention. Doing the right thing is not Bainimarama's real intention. Bainimarama is only showing off pretending that he cares! The dictator, Bainimarama, said that he is righting a wrong. But what about righting the wrongs that Bainimarama and khaiyum have done to Fiji?! .........yeah right! The Dictator stated in his message of deceit, when opening the Legal Aid office at Nasinu, that he and Khaiyum need a new flag. Lets face it, whenever Bainimarama uses the word "we" he is actually referring to just himself and khaiyum.
Last year, says the dictator Frank Bainimarama, they were consumed with the monumental task of holding their first genuinely democratic election in Fijian history. What a load of rubbish! We all know, including Bainimarama's corrupt family and friends, that the 2014 election was rigged and declared "credible" by a bunch of low-down academic and bureaucratic trash. And now, here we have Frank Bainimarama at it again lying to the people of Fiji. But now that their new, highly rigged and corrupt, democracy is in place, Khaiyum and Bainimarama can proceed with their program that Frank flagged at the beginning of 2013, to adopt a symbol that is more in keeping with their national aspirations in the 21st century. Both Bainimarama and Khaiyum want to replace the symbols on our existing flag that they claim are out of date and no longer relevant. The dictator says that the new flag should reflect Fiji’s position in the world today as a modern and truly independent nation state. But the world knows that Fiji is ruled by a dictator and the oppressed people of Fiji live under constant fear and intimidation. So how can Bainimarama claim that Fiji is a truly independent nation state. The dictator is right when he says that the existing flag is widely loved and admired! Yes it is. And he goes on to say that it has served Fiji well since it was introduced at Independence in 1970. That our United Nations peacekeeping troops have fought and sometimes died under it. Our sportsmen have stood before it as they achieved some of the greatest and most inspirational victories in our sporting history. Yes they have! BUT what Frank Bainimarama deliberately leaves out is a key truth. Under the existing flag, our nation has suffered under Bainimarama's lies and oppressive and corrupt dictatorship, since 2006. Under our existing flag Frank Bainimarama committed:
Bainimarama has never honoured the flag since he was promoted Commander RFMF, above other more senior, more qualified and more ethical military officers. Nor will he honour any future flag. What is also a joke/lie, is Bainimarama saying he is outlining a process that will be inclusive and based on a general consensus to design a new flag. All Fijians, including school children, will be encouraged to enter a national competition for the design of this new national symbol. What a load of rubbish, sources say that Khaiyum already has a design for the new Fiji flag. Bainimarama also said these fancy nice words about the People's Constitution, which he and Khaiyum threw away and then forced their version on to the people. The same occurred with the 2014 election, no consensus by the people. Bainimarama was so worried about losing that Khaiyum clearly rigged the elections in their favour. What happened to the consensus then? Nothing, it was all fancy bullshit talk by Khaiyum and Bainimarama. Bainimarama says that he is also going to form a national committee chosen [hand picked by khaiyum] from a broad cross section of Fijian society to judge the entries and choose the most appropriate design [that khaiyum wants]. This National Panel of Citizens – including nominees from the Leader of Opposition– will be set up and selected by Government. This is the same process for the constitutional commission, appointed by Khaiyum and led by Prof Yash Ghai, which followed the will of the people, the majority. Bainimarama and Khaiyum later ignored their recommendations because they did support Khaiyum's directives. This is what an independent nation means in Fiji. Do as you are told by Khaiyum or face the consequences. The Legal Aid Commission’s Office was opened in Nasinu by Fiji's corrupt and lying dictator Frank Bainimarama. Like most things initiated by Khaiyum, it is mostly all for show to distract the people from the actual crimes that Khaiyum and Bainimarama are committing against Fiji. In addition, the Free Legal Aid access to all Fijians does not include the families of the CRW soldiers murdered on Bainimarama's orders, the women and men taken to the camps and beaten, some raped. These people are excluded from the free legal aid.
C4.5 reports that the corrupt and lying Fiji Regime appointed Attorney General, Khaiyum, has been forced to swallow his own spit by having to remove the HSBC World Series Sevens, Rugby World Cup 7's and Rugby World Cup from his draconian Television (Cross-Carriage of Designated Events) Decree. The removal was gazetted on 28th January, and back-dated to 15th December 2014 in order to prevent World Rugby from blocking coverage of the Wellington 7's being televised across Fiji. This is all the fault of Khaiyum who attempted to steal the World Ruby TV feeds from FijiTV, who has the rights to broadcast the ruby 7's and world rugby across Fiji. Khaiyum wanted to steal it for his brother's radio station FBC.
Yes, Rugby's governing body, World Rugby, has won this stupid argument with Khaiyum, who is clearly suffering from "Great Man's Disease". Just because he and Bainimarama rule Fiji through corruption, dictatorship, murder and torture, he now thinks that the rest of the world must also succumb to his verbal farts. What a lunatic! World rugby has put this stupid, corrupt and arrogant Khaiyum in his place. Meanwhile, Frank Bainimarama collects substantial bribes/kick-backs from Khaiyum to look the other way. Veteran Fiji Journalist, Dennis Rounds, reminds the FijiSun editor, Nemani Delaibaitiki, to get his facts right and to practice the art of TRUE JOURNALISM. This of course will never happen under the Baini-Khaiyum dictatorship, and not while the owners of the FijiSun continue to receive preferential treatment for supporting the corrupt dictatorship. FIJILEAKS reports that the business community is watching closely to see to what extent the board of a private company is robust enough to select the candidate who is best for the business and shareholders (Ken Clark) or be brow-beaten into selecting the person who is best for the interests of the Bainimarama government (Sharon Smith-Johns) who wants to see a weakened Fiji TV.
It was the pre-election Bainimarama regime that signed up to be the guarantor of almost $25m worth of loans and interest from the Fiji Development Bank and ANZ to build the white elephant that is FBC TV, while passing a series of decrees that advantaged FBC TV over Fiji TV. The way that the job advert has been worded appears to open the door to Smith-Johns who has no management experience in either radio or television. There is no specific reference to experience required in the broadcast industry – just experience and knowledge of the ‘media industry’ and ‘communications industry’. She was a regional print ad and online ad saleswoman for Fairfax newspapers before moving to Fiji to head the Connect internet company where she was fired for incompetence. |
Democracy
double-crossed Fiji's 2014 elections was rigged with help from corrupt and deceitful individuals, organisations, countries and the so-called high calibre and credible [NOT] MOG. Prof Wadan Narsey explains here that the 2014 Fiji elections was 'Far from free and fair: and it is another victory for treason, lies, deceit, money and the culture of silence.

Under Bainimarama's dictatroship, corruption runs wild with immoral stooges in public office, like Dr Reddy, allowed to live out their desires and fantasies. What is also sickening is that Bainimarama and Khaiyum's greed, lies and incompetence has driven Fiji to its highest levels of unemployment, highest cost of living and overall economic decline that a woman has little choice but to give her body in-exchange for a job in order to survive. Disgusting, but it does happen in Fiji.

FijiLeaks reports that Tevita Gonelevu and Tanya Waqanika REVEAL ALL to Bainimarama, requesting that Bainimarama charge Khaiyum with criminal offences arising out of his fraudulent, criminal threats and intimidation, and duress against Fiji TV Board Members. This is interesting because Bainimarama is benefiting directly from Khaiyum's criminal and corrupt activities and deals. Therefore it is highly unlikely that Bainimarama will charge khaiyum with any crime.
Is the complaint expecting Bainimarama to actually charge khaiyum? It's highly unlikely that Bainimarama will do anything. Remember the Military Council. They also complained and recommended, several times, to Bainimarama to have Khaiyum removed. Bainimarama agreed each time but did nothing. Brigadier Pita Driti also approached Bainimarama about removing Khaiyum but he was told to "walk out", as nothing would be done. Brig Driti is now serving time in prison.
Fiji is a country without the rule of law! Where the military dictator, Bainimarama, does whatever he wants, when he wants and how he wants. Any resistance is met with brutality, threats, jail time and loss of employment or business licences, or all of the above, etc.
Educated people know that Bainimarama committed treason, murder, rape and theft of native lands and even rigged an election to avoid going to prison. They also know that Bainimarama, so far, has managed to to avoid prison with help from his military puppet officers and goons, foreign governments, and direction provided by Khaiyum and Khaiyum's group of conniving and corrupt parasites. BUT, in particular, they know that it is khaiyum who provides Bainimarama and his family with all the illegal riches [far beyond their dreams and natural abilities] that have been stolen from the people of Fiji. This includes enabling Frank and his wife Mary Bainimarama to purchase homes and luxury items with cash, when in 2006 they were ALL [Khaiyum included] close to bankruptcy.
Yes, the dictator, Frank Bainimarama, leaves the running of Fiji to his corrupt and lying AG, Khaiyum [junior] while he, Bainimarama, enjoys his ill-gotten riches and travels the world, living up the high life. So it is highly unlikely that Bainimarama will do anything to spoil his new gotten wealth and continued freedom from prison.
However, some suggest that providing a written complaint to Bainimarama has the added benefit of also informing the people. Really? How? Especially when there is still no freedom of speech and no free media. Besides, the Fiji courts are all dictated to by khaiyum and it doesn't really matter what the people of Fiji think. After getting away with rigging one election [2014], it is almost certain that all following elections will also be rigged in Bainimarama's favour. UNLESS, of course, the opposition parties and the people stand-up together for their basic rights and do something about it. BUT, so far the opposition parties have shown little ability, or backbone, to do what needs to be done to lead the oppressed people to freedom.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: Albert Einstein said that "No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness [thinking] that created it". If Einstein is correct, then how the hell can the opposition party, who were in control of Fiji and unable to stop a bully from overthrowing their government, be able to free the oppressed people of Fiji, using their same level of thinking. Yes, how?

FIJI TIMES REPORTS that Fiji's Media Industry Development Authority [MIDA] Chairman, Ashwin Raj, will appear in court on a charge of "annoyance", as confirmed by the Police Commissioner Ben Groenewald.
Asked to comment on Mr Groenewald's statement, Mr Raj told the Sunday Times that he would not be saying anything, BUT had described reports of the charge as "malicious allegations". The Commissioner also stated that Raj had also visited his office and lodged an official complaint against the alleged manner in which his case was handled by police officers. The matter has apparently been referred to the Internal Affairs Department for yet another, and almost certain, "KHAIYUM RIGGED" investigation. Click HERE to read more at FijiLeaks.

THE FIJI TIMES reports that Fiji's NATIONAL carrier, Fiji Airways, maintains that its pilots and crew are highly trained and capable of addressing emergencies on flights.
The statement by CEO and managing director Stefan Pichler follows complaints by a passenger on a Fiji Airways flight that had turned back to Nadi after departing for Auckland. However, Fiji Airways also recently stood down one of its pilots from flying after a hard landing of one of its A330 aircraft in Sydney. See picture [courtesy of C4.5] of damage done to the Fiji Airways plane.
These incidents should not come as any surprise given that both the Chief Pilot and the Training and Safety Officer each failed their exams twice and had to resit them a third time when learning to fly the A330 in France. They are responsible for teaching other pilots??!!
What is also scary is that each of these so-called senior, well trained and experienced pilots repeated their failures in Australia. Bloggers have reported that Khaiyum's interference in the running of the National Airlines has dropped safety standards and led to TWO CEO's jumping ship!

FijiTimes reports that SCHOOLS that have asked parents to purchase textbooks in their book lists will be taken to task. A threat given by the Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy, in a press briefing.
Reddy stated that all schools were informed last year of the textbook initiative. True, but NOT ALL students will receive their texts books on time, according to Reddy some will need to wait two months, until the end of March before they receive their texts books. And when asked why the ministry decided to make the textbook announcement only a few weeks before the start of the school year, Dr Reddy said the initiative was to allow students to have their own copies of the textboooks. Reddy clearly missed the point of having textbooks issued before the start of the school-year.
What is interesting is that Bainimarama supporters argue that this is not an issue as the students will eventually get their own copy - if at all - just two months late. I suspect these Bainimarama supporters, like Bainimarama himself, have never had the need for such text-books, so receiving it late or never at all is a non-issue for them.

C4.5 REPORTS Sacked Fiji TV executives go after Khaiyum and Board members - One of the two former Fiji TV executives dismissed after the rugby sevens broadcasting controversy has called on the Fiji Law Society to strip Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum of his practising certificate for unethical behaviour.
CEO Tevita Gonelevu and head of content and local productions, Tanya Waqanika, told a press conference today the real story behind their unlawful sackings.
"You cannot be the Minister of Communications and make decisions which are favourable to FBC knowing fully well that what you've done is unethical and unlawful to favour FBC which is headed by your brother," said Waqanika.
Click HERE to read Prof Narsey's article on the Fiji TV terminations, accountability of the Boards and People’s Actions (13 January 2015).
This low-down, childish and immature behavior by grown men who run Fiji, Khaiyum and his puppet Bainimarama, (albeit by a rigged election, fear and intimidation) does nothing to promote confidence in foreign investors coming to Fiji - the legal ones - because there is no rule of law in Fiji.

Where are our important people who should be standing up for their rights and their responsibilities, and leading our ordinary people who do not understand what is going on. Where are they?.....still hiding in the shadows, still afraid?!!...or have they (YOU) tasted the sweetness from the corrupt Bainimarama Dictatorship that you have decided to "See none of their evil, Hear None of their Evil and Speak none of their Evil"??!!
What the people of Fiji and our leaders of the opposition parties need to understand is that there is NO Saviour waiting or coming to save us. Not in the mold of Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna, Ma'afu or anyone else for that matter. We THE PEOPLE must act together.

A “true and real” democracy operates on the basis that there is room for choice all the way up to the selection of the government. This implies that the legislature, which makes the laws for the country, must itself provide an opportunity for various views to be heard throughout the term of governance. These views should encompass not only those on the government benches but also those who are opposed to the policies underlying the ways of operation. In other words, lawfully elected representatives of the people must be able to present and discuss alternative policy options even if they are not part of the government and do not have an immediate way of making their plans succeed. This is what should happen under a true democracy, which Fiji does NOT have!
Under Bainimarama’s dictatorship:
Its the duty of the opposition leaders', to themselves and to their voters, to play the role of an alternative government and a government in waiting. They need to develop a better alternative! However, a major challenge for the opposition, given the current oppressive climate, is to be seen as being credible in their role. In order to do that it must be responsible, respected and united as a political party and it must create policies that are relevant to the day-to-day lives of the people and not live in the past.
Meanwhile, in the absence of an effective opposition, the corrupt, lying and criminal dictator, Bainimarama, and his puppet master, run the show while the people are cheated with false promises, bribes and trickery.
Under Bainimarama’s dictatorship:
- there is NO “true and real” democracy operating
- there is NO room for the people's choice all the way up to the selection of the government. The previous 2014 election was clearly rigged in Bainimarama’s favour
- all laws are dictated by Khaiyum and his band of corrupt, conniving friends and family
- there is NO opportunity for various views to be heard
- there is no lawfully elected representatives of the people - rigged election by an illegal interim government
- no rule of law
- no freedom of speech
- no human rights!
- no free and fair elections!

Who will lead Fiji to victory and freedom from a corrupt, lying and oppressive Bainimarama dictatorship that has been forced on to the people of Fiji. Who? .....this position is still vacant.
But what is the alternative to the Khaiyum led Bainimarama dictatorship? ....It seems that the previous Qarase years is on offer...with all its issues that have been highlighted since December 2006. We have all been there and each of us knows what we like and dont like about that form of governance. Many of our people have raised issues about it, right or wrong, we are entitled to our opinions. Its Government's responsibility to listen and to do something about it. The current Bainimarama dictatorship does not care!
BUT the Opposition parties don't provide much of an alternative vision for Fiji that is worth fighting for. A vision that includes being harmonious, prosperous, safe and secure and a multiracial Fiji with the rule of law and freedom for all.
The opposition parties and the oppressed cry for freedom, rule of law, proper governance and democracy but they have no clue on how to get it or to defend it when they did have it.
