November 2020Sayed-Khaiyum, also known as “A to Z” in political circles because he is the minister of everything, is the most despised person in Fiji and the puppeteer behind the murderer and violent prime minister Frank JV Bainimarama. He also refuses to stand aside as the attorney general while he is being investigated for a 1987 bombing incident which resulted in the death of a woman, stating that “we will let the due process take its course”. Yeah right!
Anyone familiar with Fiji’s dictatorship knows too well that there is one set of rules for Sayed-Khaiyum and Frank Bainimarama and their corrupt family and friends who are "More Equal than Others" as the rule of law doesn't apply to them, and another set of rules for the rest of Fiji. But Sayed-Khaiyum did set a precedent for his case and should stand down! In 2017, he forced former Education Minister and now Agriculture Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy to step down from Cabinet, while a so-called independent investigation was carried out into accusations against him regarding bribery and undue influence. The former Lands Minister Ashneel Sudhakar was terminated over allegations of sexual harassment. The accusations against these Ministers fail in comparison to Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum’s bomb making, involving murder! Therefore, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum must immediately step down from Cabinet while the accusations against him are investigated by the Police. Fiji Labour Party Leader Mahendra Chaudhry is also calling on Acting Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu to come clean on police investigations into the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum’s involvement in the 1987 bombing incident which resulted in the death of a woman, reported fijivillage. Acting Police Commissioner Tudravu gave an assurance that investigations will be conducted thoroughly, and he has also asked members of the public to be mindful of the fact that this is a report of an allegation that dates back more than 3 decades so it will take time for investigators to conduct their work. The complaint against Sayed-Khaiyum was lodged with Police 05 July 2020. Remember that in 2012 Fiji's last democratically elected leader Laisenia Qarase was found guilty on trumped-up charges and sentenced to one year in prison for supposedly failing to disclose a private investment interest some 20 years earlier. Judge Priyantha Fernando told Qarase that "The punishment that you ought to receive must reflect the breach of public confidence." Public confidence in Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is almost zero, allowing for his corrupt family friends and the "bakewas" who benefit off his corruption and mismanagement of the economy. What’s also interesting about the Qarase case is that he was convicted on the testimony of one witness. But in the case against Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum there are 5 witnesses! Chaudhry also raised an interesting point, that if the police investigations were being thoroughly conducted in the first place, then why was the file returned by DPP Pryde for further investigations. He also said a period of 5 months was more than long enough for a conclusion to have been reached. So what have the police been doing all this time? In reality, it's safe to suggest that the police are not independent and therefore not allowed to conduct a thorough investigation into the complaint lodged against AG Sayed-Khaiyum. If Tudravu attempts to do the right thing then he risks losing his job and the bread and butter for his family. He also faces the real risk of being taken to the camp by Bainimarama's goons and given a hiding, or both! This is a huge issue for many in the disciplined forces who do not support the dictatorship, but wait in silence. Unfortunately, the main Opposition party is silent on the matter, consumed once again with more infighting as they go about selecting a party leader and a deputy. Meanwhile, Chaudhry has once again called for Sayed-Khaiyum to step down pending the outcome of the investigations. A well known and reputable journalist also commented on his facebook that “when Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum [ASK] was a layabout lawyer for some bank, he would boast of his bombing exploits. Heard it myself at the Travelodge bar. He did it, no doubt... but there was a deal of some kind done - Rabuka escaped treason charges, and ASK was never charged with terrorism. Perhaps both men could now face justice...? Just asking”. Frank Bainimarama wants the people of Fiji to believe that his motives are noble and that he is nothing but a selfless servant of the higher cause of a better Fiji where we are All Equal Citizens and that No one is above the law!
But at the same time he allows his megalomaniac and corrupt Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum a free-hand to manipulate the nation’s laws, constitution and institutions to ensure they are both not prosecuted and sent to prison for any of their crimes and illegal deals that have made them both multi-millionaires while more people have descended into poverty! That’s not equal citizenry! That’s two-faced hypocrisy! Because it makes Frank Bainimarama and Sayed-Khaiyum, and their corrupt family and friends, MORE EQUAL than the rest of us! The corruption and lies have gone on too long and the people are now at a point where they are demanding that equal citizenry and accountability for all! This is the very same “accountability” that Sayed-Khaiyum has been preaching and also used to remove two sitting MP’s while accusations against them were being investigated. Yet Khaiyum refuses to apply the same standards to himself and to step down, while a complaint about his links to a 1987 bombing incident is being investigated by the Police. Veronica Malani lodged her complaint against Sayed-Khaiyum on 5 July 2020 but as of 28 October the Fiji police had taken no action. However, the complaints against the two accused MP’s removed by Sayed-Khaiyum were acted on almost immediately! This is clearly double standards! Thanks to social media the spineless police finally created an investigation file, supposedly without even questioning the main culprit AG Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, and sent it to the Director of Public Prosecutions [DPP]. Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro told the Fiji Times 10 November 2020 that the investigation file had been submitted to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) for sanctioning “last Friday”, which makes it 6 November 2020. The DPP Christopher Pryde later confirmed that he had returned the file to the police on November 13, 2020 for further investigation. On 18 November 2020 Naisoro told the FijiTimes that she had to check for an update. Radio NZ also reported on this same day that the DPP had returned the file to police and when asked about the complaint at a recent media conference in Suva, the AG said police were carrying out their investigations. Yeah right! The DPP Christopher Pryde [a corrupt and bent New Zealand lawyer] was not only appointed by Sayed-Khaiyum he is also a really, really, very close personal acquaintance. Remember, that Pryde also returned the police file on the dictator Bainimarama who had assaulted opposition MP Pio Tikoduadua, despite video and eyewitness evidence! Pryde later claimed that there had been sufficient evidence to prosecute the PM, but he did nothing! Disgusting! What’s interesting is that senior military sources claimed that Pryde’s corruption also extends to his parents living in a Fiji taxpayer funded government residence in the Domain area while Pryde had another residence for himself! The circle of corruption! Veronica Malani lodged another official complaint (Police Report # 144/11/20) against a white heavily tinted Toyota Prado that was parked in front of her house. It is registered to AG Sayed-Khaiyum’s bodyguards. In addition, Malani claims that drones have been flying above her home at night and even follows her whenever she leaves her compound. This can only be described as a clear attempt to intimidate Malani. What a circus! Clearly there is no rule of law in Fiji and Frank Bainimarama’s claims that we are All Equal Citizens and that No one is above the law is all a big fat lie! Malani must continue to stand strong, to have her day in court. Even if many believe that the police and DPP will try to cover this up, somehow. This is not just Malani's fight for justice, it’s ours too! So it’s important that we continue this social media campaign for justice for Malani. The megalomaniac and corrupt AG Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum must be held to account for his crimes. Bainimarama needs to have him step-aside and allow the police to investigate his links to the 1987 bombing incident. I'm sure that the two MP's who were stood down by Sayed-Khaiyum would agree and so do the rest of us. Remembrance Day (Poppy Day) is a Memorial Day observed each year around the world, since the end of the First World War. It is dedicated to the soldiers who died in the line of duty fighting to protect their nation's freedoms.
It falls on the 11th of November each year, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. A minutes' silence is observed in remembrance of the courage and bravery of those fallen soldiers. So it’s damn insulting and hypocritical of Fiji’s COWARD dictator Frank Voreqe Bainimarama to be laying a wreath in memory of those fallen soldiers! This is especially so when he [Bainimarama] stole the people of Fiji’s Freedoms in his 2006 military coup and continues to oppress the populace through fear and intimidation, to this very day! A coup that he conducted to save himself from being arrested and sent to prison for his list of crimes that include treason and the murder of Fiji’s loyal CRW soldiers! Any gesture therefore by Epeli Nailatikau [Speaker], Frank Bainimarama [PM and Dictator] and Jioji Konrote [President] can only be described as “empty and all for show” to fool the less educated and gullible of society! An insult to the memory of those brave soldiers who died in the line of duty fighting to protect their nation's freedoms. 2 November is the Anniversary of the 2000 mutiny by a small group of Fiji's CRW soldiers. On this day Fiji's treasonous military commander Commodore Frank Voreqe Bainimarama showed his true colours - YELLOW! He abandoned his men and scooted down through the casava patch to save himself claimed senior military sources!
Frank was so scared that he shit himself, in his Navy white commodore's uniform! He was frozen stiff from fear, claimed the senior military source, that his body guards had to carry him to the casava patch. This is where he regained use of his legs - probably with help from all that slimy lubrication he let loose in his undies. Bainimarama, a half-caste, is Fiji's First ever lamu sona military commander to run from a fight and poop his pants in the process! A senior officer later joked that it was raining that day, but there was dust in the air! The military sources also claimed that Frank Bainimarama later beat a CRW soldier to death, smashing a brick over the soldier's head. A picture of that deceased soldier lying on the slab with part of his skull missing can be found on the internet. Frank JV Bainimarama must be held to account for his crimes of treason, sedition and the murder of CRW soldiers! |
