October to November 2018Even a primary school child understands the internationally accepted, NZ proportional system, logic of allocating NFP 4 seats with their strict proportion of 3.9 seats and FFP 26 seats with their strict proportion of 26.2 seats in parliament. But not in Fiji and not under a corrupt and lying dictatorship that will do any and every nasty trick under the sun to stay in power!
According to Prof Wadan Narsey we can calculate the strict proportion of seats based on the number of votes received by each political party. This means that if we accept the 5% threshold, which eliminates the smaller parties, then the three qualifying parties will have the following proportional number of seats in Fiji's Parliament: • FFP is entitled to 26.2 MPs • SODELPA is entitled to 20.9 MPs • NFP is entitled to 3.9 MPs. Therefore, mathematical logic tells us that FFP's 26.2 seats is equal to 26 seats. SODELPA's 20.9 seats is equal to 21 seats and NFP's 3.9 seats is therefore equal to 4 seats. This is what any sane person with half a brain would reason! In fact, that is exactly how NZ’s Elections Office would have proportionately allocated the seats in Fiji using their automatic calculator. But not in Fiji controlled by the cunning Khaiyum, his stooge Bainimarama and his puppet Saneem. The SOE and Fiji Elections Office decided to ignore all mathematical reason and logic and rounded UP the FFP's 26.2 seats to 27 and rounded DOWN NFP's 3.9 seats to 3! SODELPA, with its 20.9 seats was correctly rounded up to 21 seats. The Fiji First Party has basically STOLEN a seat that rightfully belongs to NFP! Many have said that this is out right cheating and theft! This is the stupidity and unfairness of the corrupt D’Hondt electoral system in Fiji! An electoral system that will not be accepted by voters in New Zealand, Australia or Britain but yet the MOG and the international community finds it acceptable for Fiji. Click HERE to read Prof Narsey's article. The Fiji Times reports that the FIJIFIRST party general secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has congratulated and thanked the corrupt Prime Minister and FijiFirst party leader Voreqe Bainimarama in winning the 2018 General Election.
But most sane people know that the 2018 win was due to yet another rigged election and voter fraud! Remember there were 53,400 more registered voters than people of voting age. This is why the Supervisor of Elections [SOE] Saneem refused to inform the public about the total number of people who voted before the count started. Saneem also refused to share actual results from each polling station with the opposition parties. Because they had to manipulate the count in order for the FijiFirst Party to win. Remember how the total number of voters at some polling stations increased during the count? A number of people involved in polling stations also claimed that the results reported via the FEO App did not match the numbers from their polling station. They had also taken pictures of the completed pink-sheets showing the results but they are too afraid to send us a copy for fear of being identified and tortured. This information needs to be made public but we understand their fears and can only wait until they decide to release them. Khaiyum also spoke about the principled position that Bainimarama and their FijiFirst party took in respect of the elections and indeed the campaign period. Oh really! What integrity principle is Khaiyum talking about? Its the fictitious statement Bainimarama made about "we must not lie and we must always speak the truth”. Yeah right! What is interesting is how Khaiyum managed to get 17,271 votes when he had told party candidates to campaign only for Bainimarama's number and not their own. It seems his policy did not apply to Khaiyum whose votes increased by 26% from 2014. So what integrity is he talking about? Its just another lie! Meanwhile the FijiFirst Party votes dropped by 23%, votes for Bainimarama dropped by 17% and their seats in parliament also dropped by 18%. Khaiyum was the only candidate to get an increase! Khaiyum also said he was adamant of a brighter future for the country, “The future is extremely bright.” But their 12 year record has shown that Bainimarama and Khaiyum and their family and friends are more equal than others, where they have become millionaires and the rule of law does not apply to them and their kind. Meanwhile, Fiji's national debt has doubled to $6 billion with the Auditor General reporting that $400 million has gone missing. The Multinational Observer Group [MOG] -- They came, they saw none of their previous recommendations had been implemented, they had a wonderful holiday, they ignored the dead voters, they declared yet again another rigged election to be a reflection of the "Will of the people" and they left!
In any election, it doesn't matter if 90% of the people cast their votes for you, especially if those votes are then fraudulently counted in favour of someone else! Letter by the leaders of the opposition parties to the Chairman of the Fiji Election Office
Samples of Voter Fraud
The Fiji Election Office [FEO] vote counting system designed by NADRA specialists has been caught out in manipulating voter results from polling stations in favour of Bainimarama and his FijiFirst Party candidates. This is highlighted in a letter filed by the leaders of the opposition parties to the Chairman of Fiji Election Office. Social media is also reporting voters claiming that their votes for the candidate of their choice are missing! See Samples of Voter Fraud images. IMAGE 1, an extract from the letter to the FEO Chairman, shows how the manipulation is being done via the FEO system. This also verifies what our sources claimed earlier that the results on the FEO App do not match the results reported from the polling stations. The NADRA system is also using the "Extra 53,400 Non-Existent Registered Voters" [reported in our earlier post, Fiji: More Registered Voters than People of Voting Age] to fraudulently boost FijiFirst Party numbers. See example in Image 1 where the total number of voters increased from 117 at the polling station to 246 on the FEO App. Incompetence, simple error or deliberately done? This is VOTER FRAUD! Remember that the Supervisor of Elections refused to provide the total number of people who Voted. Now we know why! He is waiting for the rigged system to finish adding voters from the "Extra 53,400 Non-Existent Registered Voters" to boost Fiji First numbers! After 1,752 polling stations the FEO App recorded Fiji First 179,900 [50.17%] of votes. This is 37,498 clear of SODELPA with 142,402 [39.72%] followed by: NFP with 26,443 [7.37%], Unity Fiji 5,339 [1.49%], Labour 2,276 [0.63%] HOPE 2,191 [0.61%]. There are only 2,170 polling stations which magically increased by 3 during the counting process. The votes at each polling station have already been counted and verified by the political party agents there so they don't need to be re-countered. These results from each polling station, however, needs to be manually re-countered and made public via television, radio and social media for all to see so that we all can verify the count for ourselves. Almost everyone has a calculator and can check for themselves against the final official results. Whats a few days more for the next four years of peace in knowing who truly won fair and square! Fiji doesn't need an electronic computer system designed by a company NADRA that was accused in their own country Pakistan of corruption, ballot stuffing, tampering with voter registration and giving ID cards to terrorists. The FijiTimes reported that the leaders of four political parties have requested a recall of the provisional result, claiming correct procedures needed to be followed.
However, the Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem, nephew of the Minister of Elections Sayed-Khaiyum who is also a candidate in the elections and the Attorney General and Minister for Economy and multiple other portfolios, responded that the parties had failed to understand how the electoral system worked. Oh really!! According to Saneem the provisional results were phone-call results so he could not give any data because it came through the phone, was entered into the system and updated as results as required in the law reported the FijiTimes. But sources claim that the results reported by elections office do not match the numbers from polling stations. The leaders of the Social Democratic Liberal Party [SODELPA], National Federation Party [NFP], Fiji Labour Party [Labour] and the Unity Fiji party claimed the process was not transparent and that during the tabulation process, the political party agents and candidates were not shown the documents from which the provisional results were posted on the national results tally. This they claimed did not follow the provisions of Division 8 of the Electoral Act 2014 — Tabulation and Declaration of Results — which was not followed by the Supervisor of Elections in declaring the provisional results announced up to the morning of November 15. “As far as we know” reported the Fiji Times “the number of votes announced as having been received by each candidate does not show the polling stations from which the votes were derived. In other words, these cannot be verified against the votes recorded in the Protocol of Results as required under the Act. In the circumstances, we are unable to accept the provisional results as announced and request that results be tabulated showing the votes received by each candidate and party from each polling station and that these be reconciled/verified against the original protocol of results certified by the presiding officers at each polling station”. Click HERE to read Fiji Times article. Former Fijian Ambassador to the Middle East Robin Nair, reveals two dirty deals by Fiji’s corrupt AG and Minister of Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum:
1. How khaiyum used Fiji loans to receive millions in kick-backs for himself 2. The Establishment of Islamic Banking In Fiji. 1. Khaiyun accepted a much higher loan interest rate of 8% from Singapore financial sources over the more concessional rate of 1% offered by Middle East banks. This is like saying that he wants to pay $8 instead of $1. How stupid is that? Khaiyum also turned down a less costly but more sensible loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), says Prof Wadan Narsey in 2012, because the IMF would also have required them to reduce their on-going spending down to manageable levels. But why would anyone want to choose a higher interest rate? First off it’s not Khaiyum’s money, it’s the people of Fiji’s money which he has deliberately mismanaged instead of negotiating for the best deal. Secondly, says Nair, and more importantly for Khaiyum, is that it’s a bigger commission for him for choosing the higher interest rate which equates to tens of millions, and thirdly Prof Narsey says Khaiyum has passed the buck on to future generations to repay! The Singapore loan was brokered by Wilson form the ANZ bank and Khaiyum’s close friend and associate, Vishnu Mohan, a Sri Lankan who was at that time the CEO of ANZ Bank's South Pacific operations based in Suva, says Nair. Mohan is a rather secretive looking gentleman, continued Nair, with wide contacts in the financial world. Soon after resigning from the ANZ, Vishnu Mohan was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Fiji Sugar Corporation. He was also appointed Chairman of the Public Service Commission and Chairman of the Board of Fiji Aitken Spence Operations (a Sri Lankan Company) the majority owners of the Suva Port. Vishnu Mohan, says Nair, lives in luxury in Toronto, Canada but commutes from Toronto to Fiji regularly. According to Nair negotiations with the Arab Bank was suddenly terminated without formally informing the Arab Bank. When the Bank could not get any feedback from Khaiyum they contacted the Fijian Ambassador to the Middle East, Robin Nair. Nair then contacted Khaiyum about the bank’s inquiry but Khaiyum orders Nair in an angry tone not to involve himself with the Bank. Nair claims that sources within the Arab Bank revealed that a far larger commission was offered to Khaiyum by the Singapore entity. The Arabs had regarded their concessional interest rates would have been an attractive deal to the Fijian public but Khaiyum cut all communications with them because they could not match the commission offered. So now Fiji is burdened with tens of millions in extra interest payments while providing millions in kick-backs to Khaiyum. The second deal is the Establishment of an Islamic Banking system in Fiji, which Nair contends was being arranged by Khaiyum. See pictures of email messages discussing the Islamic banking system. DANGER ALERT! ABC Radio [Australia] ran a news item about a puzzling fact, said Prof Wadan Narsey, that the number of voters registered by the Fiji Elections Office [FEO] appeared to be some 30,000 more than the number of actual people of voting age as recorded by the Fiji Bureau of Statistics [FBS] following its 2017 Census. Prof Narsey says the FBS figures are correct.
The ABC had suggested that these extra 30,000 voters could influence the outcome of the 2018 Elections. What the ABC did not mention, said Prof Narsey, was that these 30,000 extra votes could easily be electronically “inserted” into the vote counting system by those controlling the counting [FEO and NADRA]. These extra votes could then be added to boost Bainimarama and/or Khaiyum’s total number of electoral votes and NO observer, not even the MOG, can pick it up! This is vote rigging!!! But Prof Narsey’s calculations, based on his examining and cross checking both the FEO electoral database and the 2017 census results, suggest an even higher number of excess registrations totaling 53,400 [Amended 9 Nov 2018]. This discrepancy, says Prof Narsey, of more than 8% of registered voters between the FBS 2017 Census results and the FEO voter registrations was not likely done through any minor errors. This is the polite way of saying it was deliberately done! He hopes his estimates are inaccurate! Basically, if Prof Narsey’s estimates are accurate, and we have every reason to believe it is, then Bainimarama and Khaiyum and their FijiFirst party are already 53,400 votes ahead of the pack!! This is a major concern for all opposition parties. The SOE’s voter registration database and cleaning processes are not fool-proof (and they surely are not) so action has to be taken to ensure these extra votes are not inserted into the counting systems in any way, manner or form. Click HERE to read Prof Wadan Narsey’s full article [9 Nov 2018]. The Hindus of Fiji have just celebrated the festival of Diwali: sharing food, sweets and companionship with families, friends and neighbours, writes Prof Narsey back in 2012.
Long a national holiday, Diwali, like Christmas, has become a joyous festival for all races and religions, with diya and electric lights brightening up the night. For Hindus, Diwali is associated with the celebration of Prince Ram’s return to Ayodhya after his unjust banishment and exile, with diyas lit to welcome him back. Speeches by Fiji’s leaders, continued Prof Narsey, highlighted that Diwali celebrates the victory of light over darkness, representing the victory of truth over ignorance. But today the Fiji public are much more informed about the huge disasters created by the corrupt and lying Bainimarama and his corrupt and vile puppet master Khaiyum. Change is coming this election where victory of light over darkness is expected by many fed up with all the lies, corruption, nepotism, increased cost of living, poor wages, poor health services, no rule of law, human rights violations, high crime rate, land theft, dictatorship and broken promises! 2018 is expected to be the year of change for Fiji. Better be! Or it will be another four more years of dictatorship! Here's a reminder of what Fiji has lost due to Bainimarama's coup:
The National Bank of Fiji disaster (which cost a mere $200 million or so) was peanuts compared to what Fiji is facing now under Bainimarama's dictatorship says Prof Narsey. So this festival of light May it guide you right To a future so bright Come 14 November! Wishing You All A Very Happy Diwali! The debate everyone has been waiting for is scheduled for Monday 5 November, 1PM to 3PM between the self-appointed Rear Admiral, Bainimarama, and the Major General, Rabuka.
The conniving Bainimarama and his puppet master Sayed-Khaiyum have been trying to have Rabuka disqualified from standing in the 2018 Elections. They have also applied their same dirty tactics to the Leader of the Labour party and other members of the opposition. Remember, their corrupt courts convicted Former PM Qarase before the 2014 elections on some trumped up charges. And here we go again with Rabuka facing a possible conviction by the corrupt and highly bent Chief Justice Anthony Gates. Rabuka was acquitted of electoral fraud by the Suva Magistrates Court in October which meant that he was free to stand in the elections. But Fiji's judiciary found it necessary to set an appeal hearing in record time, while many other appeal cases have been on the waiting list for years. Rabuka was charged by Fiji's Independent [NOT] Commission Against Corruption, commonly known as FICAC, under Fiji's political party regulations - for providing a false declaration of his assets, income and liabilities. Remember that the Attorney General, and FijiFirst General Secretary, Sayed-Khaiyum, had also made a similar false declaration of his assets by under valuing a property he had purchased. But as the Minister Responsible for Elections he got off scot-free! Sayed-Khaiyum's lap dogs, FICAC, then filed an appeal a few days later with just two weeks to the elections. So its still uncertain if Rabuka will be allowed to contest the election. The judgement by Gates is due to be handed down on November 12, two days before the elections. A prominent lawyer, Richard Naidu, provided three possible outcomes of the appeal:
The issue is that Under section 63 of the Electoral Act there is a 48-hour ‘blackout period’ before the election and the court’s decision will be issued during that ‘blackout period, said Naidu. This means, if convicted, Rabuka's party will not be able to inform their supporters to change their vote to another party candidate, so any votes for 530 will be wasted. Welcome to the bullshit free and fair election, Dictator Style! FBC News reported that NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad hit out at FijiFirst General Secretary Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum for criticizing NFP’s manifesto.
Prof Prasad said Sayed-Khaiyum is pulling figures from the air when he said that NFP’s minimum wage plan will cost $700million. According to Prasad their plan will not even cost 1/10 of that amount. Prasad added that people only have to read the Auditor-General’s report to see the wastage and abuse of Government funds and mentioned that when he was the Chair of the Public Accounts Committee, he began asking the hard questions, and claims that the FijiFirst government than changed the parliamentary rules. Prasad also said that the government spends hundreds of millions on roads every year but that this money is badly spent. We can see the poor quality of the roads for ourselves which suggests the money wasn't spent on building good quality roads. So where did the rest go? Prasad also said that while people are living in poverty everywhere, FijiFirst are building new roads in some of the richest places in Suva. When NFP talked about the minimum wage, said Prasad, Fiji First said nothing. Now Fiji First is getting rattled. Now, they say they will study the minimum wage. After 12 years, all they can say is that they will “study” the minimum wage. This is the same government that tried to close down the Unions. This is the same government that locked the workers at ATS out of their jobs. Meanwhile, Sayed-Khaiyum had earlier said that NFP’s manifesto will raise the national debt by over $2 billion each year. Remember that Khaiyum is not an economist, not a mathematician nor is he an accountant! And he is still to reveal what study was conducted to justify the ridiculously massive increase in the salary of Fiji's unqualified, childish and corrupt and lying PM, JV Bainimarama. What Khaiyum and Bainimarama have done to Fiji is double the debt to $6 billion and pushed Fiji into its highest cost of living, highest unemployment, highest poverty levels ever, highest crime rate than ever before and the highest levels of corruption and nepotism in Fiji's history! Meanwhile, both Bainimarama and Khaiyum and their family and friends have become multi-millionaires while people of Fiji continue to struggle daily just to make ends meet! October 2018If you claim that you never lie, then you're a bloody liar!!
This we know to be true of both JV Bainimarama, and his conniving evil puppet master, Sayed-Khaiyum, who we all know are lying to avoid losing the 2018 elections, which means they could be charged for their crimes of sedition, treason, murder, rape, torture, theft and corruption. So don't be easily fooled by all the fancy words. Remember, that JV Bainimarama, with his nice promises and smiling face, is the very same person who easily killed a baby by repeatedly jumping up and down on the back of a pregnant lady who had been forced to lay down on her tummy at the QEB Military Barracks in December 2006. IMAGINE that for a minute, and let the image of a grown man repeatedly jumping up and down on the back of your pregnant mother, pregnant daughter, pregnant sister or pregnant girlfriend! Yes! Imagine that and think to yourself, if he can easily kill a baby like that, then how easy will it be for him to lie to you and make false promises? A village is still waiting for the 100 horses Bainimarama had promised them years ago! SODELPA Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka, has been acquitted and is free to contest 2018 elections!
What happened to Fiji's so-called "strong-man" JV Bainimarama? Who has been gallivanting across the globe and country regaling the innocent, the less educated and the corrupt of society with stories of his fantastic achievements as Dictator of Fiji.
He also claims that the stories being told by the opposition parties and their supporters, on social media, are all lies! So where is he now? This is a fantastic opportunity for him to explain the "TRUTH" to the world and to shut the opposition up, once and for all. The truth will surely set him free, right? So why doesnt he come out from hiding and prove like a man that all the stories told about him and his corrupt and lying government are all fake and nothing but lies! He can do this on national TV and Radio in an open DEBATE with Rabuka who is the leader of the largest opposition party SODELPA, or the leaders of the other Opposition parties. He can also take along his puppet master, Khaiyum, to support him. Remember that JV Bainimarama arrogantly asked “Who is Rabuka!........To me he is nothing! When he stands for election than that’s an opportune time for him to come and have a debate with me” Click HERE to see video. He also made similar arrogant claims about the leader of the National Federation Party [NFP], Biman Prasad. Click HERE to see video. So where the hell is he now that the elections are at hand and the Leaders of the Opposition parties are all ready and waiting to have that debate! JV Bainimarama, true to form, has run away, again. His puppet master Sayed-Khaiyum, the person responsible for all the nasty decrees, indigenous cultural genocide, increased poverty, increased unemployment, doubling the national debt, theft of indigenous lands and vindictive politics in the Bainimarama government will front up against Biman Prasad, an academic. But where is Bainimarama? The people want to hear form him! After all he is the dictator, the Prime Minister and Minister for iTaukei Affairs, Minister for Sugar, Minister for Foreign Affairs, President of COP23, self-appointed Rear Admiral, self-appointed RATU and so called messiah and savior of Fiji? Yes, the people of Fiji and the leaders of the opposition are all ready and waiting to hear from him in a debate, so how about it Bainimarama? Those not blinded by Bainimarama's lies, free gifts and stench, know that he is afraid of being questioned and couldn't answer simple questions during interviews. Click HERE to see video. Many speak of his lack of intellect and baby temper tantrums which is on display in video clips across YouTube. This is why overseas journalists, who Bainimarama can't threaten or intimidate are banned from asking him any difficult questions. Especially those relating to his government, its policies and his corruption and lies! This only makes Bainimarama look really stupid and guilty! In his third report from Fiji in 2009, titled 'The quixotic shades of Bainimarama', the Herald's chief correspondent, Paul McGeough, reported that stories told in Suva suggest Bainimarama was a cross between Saddam Hussein and Forrest Gump. McGeough also claimed that Bainimarama's office twice agreed tentatively that the Herald could interview Bainimarama but later on they where told there would be no interview. The Herald was also told that Bainimarama is mad, and that he was treated for mental illness, claimed a former senior political figure. Bipolar, suggested a senior journalist. "One day he talks sense; the next he's erratic." This is self-evident today, nine years later! McGeough reveals Bainimarama's poor mental state and reports that Bainimarama cannot take advice as was commonly asserted, even today. Advisers whose opinions differ from his quickly find themselves working elsewhere! We were told, said McGeough, of Bainimarama refusing to take phone calls and of hapless ministers sitting for hours outside his office. These are the traits of a person with childish intellect and not some great leader or military commander!! Catholic priest Fr.Kevin Barr, reported McGeough, described Bainimarama variously as tough, jovial, not a great intellectual and capable of anger. "Of course he reacted angrily when [the former Australian foreign minister] Alexander Downer came away from meeting him, describing him as a madman." Remember, this is the same Priest whom Bainimarama had threatened and sworn at, even calling him a "fuck-all" Priest. Click HERE and HERE to read more. According to McGeough, former colleagues said Bainimarama enlisted in the navy, rising through the ranks on the back of family connections. His father was great friends with Commander Stan Brown this is how Bainimarama, the form-4 [year10] fail, was promoted over more educated, more capable and far more intelligent navy officers. He served just once in Fiji's international peacekeeping operations - in the Sinai, from which a former officer said he was repatriated on disciplinary grounds. His 2006 coup was bloodless. But he has been accused of direct involvement in the torture and deaths of eight soldiers who mutinied in the aftermath of a previous coup - in 2000, reported McGeough. The deaths were investigated by the Fiji police who, Amnesty International reported, were close to charging him in relation to the deaths before his own coup. Remember, Bainimarama lied that he did the coup to save fiji from corruption! In reality Bainimarama has become the most corrupt PM in Fiji's history using the threat of guns and torture to get his way! So there is very little chance that the people will get to see an open and free debate between Bainimarama and the more educated, and more savvy leaders of the opposition! The 2018 Candidate Ball Draw has been done with number 530 allocated to SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka.
Vote 530 for Rabuka as PM. Just remember 530 PM when you go in to cast your vote! 530 PM is the time for change and to free Fiji from the clutches of the corrupt, lying, murderer and dictator JV Bainimarama who has created the highest cost of living in Fiji’s history, the highest unemployment, highest poverty, highest debt, highest crime rate, worst health system, worst education system, destroyed the sugar, mahogany and fishing industries, destroyed the independence of the judiciary, removed the rule of law, removed freedom of speech and association, ….there is just so much more nasty things that JB Bainimarama has done. Its now time for change, time for Fiji to take back its freedoms, human rights, self-respect and dignity! Vote 530 for Rabuka as PM. Just remember 530 PM, this is the time for change! The Fiji First party Dictatorship of two, JV Bainimarama and Khaiyum, are sacrificing their party candidates to remain in power!
This is typical of the way Bainimarama uses people to achieve his goals. Remember that:
This is the "New Game" referred to by Prof Wadan Narsey. Click HERE to read his article. In the 2014 Elections, the FFP campaign focused on the number “279” that was allocated to Bainimarama. He obtained a massive 69% of all FFP votes, but so to did an unknown with the number "297". This is hilarious! Subsequently a large number of FFP candidates only had a small number of votes, some less than 800. Those who consumed all the "279 cool-aid" and didn't get enough votes for themselves didn't get a seat in parliament. A few very sneaky FFP candidates ensured that they personally received enough votes. They were Aiyaz Khaiyum, Mahendra Reddy and Praveen Kumar who made sure that they were above the cutoff point required to select the 33 candidates from FFP. Its now 2018 and Prof Narsey suggests that all the FFP candidates will now understand what they did not in the 2014 Elections, that they must personally receive enough votes to be near the top of the FFP list of candidates if they are to be elected into parliament. So, FFP candidates can either campaign for Bainimarama's candidate number and risk missing out on a seat in parliament or be smart enough to secure enough votes for themselves that they do get a seat in Fiji's next parliament. Beware the 5% threshold! Many people do not realize that if any of their smaller parties contesting the 2018 election do not get enough votes to meet the 5% threshold, then their votes will be given to the larger Fiji First Party! Yes that’s right!
In 2014, the FFP got an extra 3 seats and SODELPA received 1 extra seat. This is what many refer to as splitting the vote with smaller parties and why they have been against the formation of additional smaller parties. This, says Prof Narsey, is why “two of the small parties are forming a “coalition” to fight the elections but even that may not suffice. What a pity that the other smaller parties are not going into coalition” Prof Narsey says that it would be a bigger tragedy “if the new small parties draw their support away from the third smallest party, NFP, which is currently just over the 5% threshold.” The 5% threshold will be determined by the corrupt Fiji Elections Office [FEO] after the "rigged" votes have been counted. But we can estimate what that threshold could be if we use the latest number of around 620,000 registered voters as provided by the FEO, argues Prof Narsey, and assume that there may be about an 85% voter turnout, then the 5% threshold will be around 27,000 votes. This means that any political party that does not receive 27,000 votes will be disqualified from Parliament and "their votes" shared by the parties that do qualify. Remember that in the 2014 election 36,000 votes were cast for the smaller parties and independents who were disqualified by the 5% rule. This means that the 36,000 votes [equal to 4 seats if the parties had been in coalition] were shared between the Fiji First Party [with 293,714 votes] and SODELPA [with 139,857 votes]. NFP with its 27,066 votes did not get a share. Three [3] seats went to FFP and one went to SODELPA. YES!! The opposition was deprived of 3 extra seats! This 5% threshold makes a mockery of Bainimaram's "1 person = 1 vote = 1 value". Especially when the disqualified candidates from the smaller parties received more votes than many candidates from the FFP and SODELPA who became MPs with less than a thousand votes each! Click HERE to read Prof Wadan Narsey’s article. From Paul Manson on facebook. To those deluded Military officers who think the sun shines out of JV Bainimarama's cici, remember that JV Bainimarama lied to his Commander in Chief, the President, Ratu Sir KKT Mara, before running away to attend a useless conference when he knew there was going to be a coup. His first coup in 2000, before removing the Commander in Chief, his second coup!
Bainimarama committed treason and liu muried his own CRW soldiers!! This same Bainimarama ordered the CRW into parliament and when his coup failed he blamed them for the coup and had them arrested and beaten and imprisoned. What kind of Commander does that? But I hear lunatics proclaim that he is a good commander. Oh really? What a load of shit! This same low-down half-caste bakola Commander beat and murdered Fiji citizens, including jumping up and down on the back of a pregnant lady forced to lay on her tummy at the QEB barracks killing her child, just to save himself from being arrested and sent to prison. This is the type of nasty criminal Commander you are protecting...... The worst in Fiji's Military History! The RFMF needs to reclaim its lost honour, integrity and high standing of respect within the community. So the next time you put on your uniform or look at yourself in the mirror or go to Church or Pray, ask yourself, why are you supporting a known criminal? For what? For thirty pieces of silver??...... The Fiji First Party is the only party low-down enough to pee on the people of Fiji and tell them its raining!
What a bloody scam! Its déjà vu all over again! The Multinational Observer Group coordinator Alice Cawte assumes that Fijians are too dumb and stupid to see through the same scam they used in 2014, to help validate the rigged results to the world!
The election issue in Fiji is not about how many people vote, its about who counts the votes and if each and every vote is counted accurately as being true and correct as the voter intended. This is the KEY issue that the MOG fails to grasp since its last working holiday in 2014. Cawte, says the MOG's mission is to ensure the Fijian voters are able to exercise their rights to vote freely and that the outcome broadly will represent the will of all Fijian voters. Oh really! It doesnt matter if people voted freely, or that 99.9% of registered voters voted, especially if their vote is not counted correctly against their intended candidate! This is how rigging is done! Everyone is allowed to vote and there is a lot of presentations explaining your right to vote and where you can vote and what the process is! Lots of hype! But the real crime takes place behind closed doors, where the vote is actually counted and reported to the nation. Ballot boxes will be stored in a warehouse before being delivered to the counting center, what for? This is part of the rigging process. There is no need at all for the boxes to be stored in a warehouse when it can be delivered direct to the counting centre. What matters is that each and every vote cast is counted according to its intended candidate and that every political party has free access to verify the counting process and results! Can the MOG ensure that this happens? This will be more useful than the MOG travelling the country talking to people and then dumping their findings in another toothless report! Without this assurance/guarantee that each and every vote has been counted true and correct, then the election results will not be credible. Nor can the MOG claim that the election was free and fair, or that it was the "will of the people" like they did in 2014! Click HERE to see original article. Fiji Day is celebrated every year on October 10, in commemoration of Fiji's independence from Britain. It marks Fiji's nationhood which should be a day of celebration for all.
On this day many Fijians the world over put aside all their fears and anger at the ruling directorship and, for this one day at least, they celebrate what Fiji means to them. That special bond one has with their country of birth and that warm nostalgic sensation of fond old memories. Its our little piece of paradise in the South Pacific that magically revitalizes the soul with its unique sounds, food and humour. Yes it is a day when we all should be celebrating. Sadly, the greed and arrogance of Fiji's tin-pot dictator, JV Bainimarama, who is running from the law, has dampened the mood. We can not forget that today, Fiji is not free! Remember that draconian decrees were also implemented by Bainimarama and Khaiyum to weaken the rights of indigenous Fijians. These decrees include:
Change in government is needed for Fiji to return to the Rule of Law, freedom, human rights and democracy! Then, we can all truly celebrate Fiji Day! Fiji's Labour Party [FLP] and the Freedom Alliance Party [FAP] have signed a partnership and cooperation agreement to contest the November 14 general election together under the FLP banner.
In the 2014 rigged general election, FLP were allowed 11,670 votes by the corrupt Fiji Election Office, while the Freedom Alliance (which was then called Fiji United Freedom Party) were only given 1,072. This put both parties outside the threshold for a seat in Parliament. So this agreement will provide a better platform for getting over that threshold. Both Labour, led by lawyer Aman Ravindra-Singh, and Freedom Alliance, led by Jagath Karunaratne, have policies that are people-centred and will ensure social and economic justice for our people, said Karunaratne. Another dubious Razor Poll was produced by Fiji's favorite toilet paper, the Fiji Sun, in support of their political masters in the FijiFirst dictatorship controlled government.
So its no surprise that they blow the trumpet of Fiji's most corrupt, murderer and lying dictator, JV Bainimarama, who committed treason and killed a baby in December 2006 by repeatedly jumping up and down on the back of a pregnant lady his soldiers had forced to lay down on her tummy! What a man! Remember, Bainimarama is the same person who took off down through the casava patch like a little girl at the start of the 2000 mutiny. I thought the captain of a ship is always the last one out, but not in Fiji's navy. Commodore Bainimarama abandoned his solders and in the process shit in his pants out of fear, in his navy Commodore's white uniform. The first Fiji military Commander to ever do so! The Fiji Sun poll says that Bainimarama has slipped from 74% to 68% and that he is still in a commanding position. Oh really? If this is true then why did it take so long for the dictator to announce the date for election? Was he afraid that he didn't actually have all that wonderful support? It would be really dumb and stupid for any politician with such a commanding lead of 74% not to go to elections straight away! So why didn't he? It makes no sense that Bainimarama didn't capitalize on that commanding lead! It's more than likely and a safe bet to suggest that he doesn't have that commanding lead. But then again JV Bainimarama is not the sharpest person around. Remember, that his authority comes only through fear and intimidation, and corruption backed by nako goons with guns. So he does whatever he wants, any old way he feels like. The FijiFirst party has been travelling the country, on the taxpayers dime, campaigning under the guise of explaining their budget. Only a fool would think otherwise. They have also been handing out free cash and other goodies. Why is this necessary if they already have such a commanding lead in the polls? To help the people? Not likely! Because not all who really need it have received it. And there is no requirement to account for the money. So its free! This smells more like vote buying by a desperate regime under fear of losing the elections? Even their vote rigging scheme is coming under more scrutiny by opposition parties. A key issue is the ballot papers not being numbered for such a very important event as a general election! Imagine if our paper money and bank cheques didn't have serial numbers! Cant do it! Just imagine the amount of fraud. So why are the ballot papers without serial numbers? Yes, you guessed it! Fraud! To rig the votes. How so? Look at the process of using private security guards to watch the ballot boxes while they transit through a warehouse on their way to the counting centre! This is such an unnecessary step! Fiji isnt that large. You can drive around the whole of Viti Levu in a day, so why can't the boxes be delivered direct to the counting centre, and be further protected by representatives from opposition parties following in their vehicles? The risk of fraud is very high when the boxes "transit" through the warehouse. Basically, one unmarked/ unnumbered box goes in and another unmarked/unnumbered box can go out to the counting centre pre-stuffed with "other" completed ballot papers. Without serial numbers how will anyone know if the same ballots that went in are the same ones that went out? Only the crooks will know! This is where the useless "Observers" come in, to validate the fraud by saying they saw nothing untoward, like they did in 2014! All these incompetent electoral processes, free money handouts, campaigning under the guise of explaining their budget and delaying the announcement of the election date all suggests that maybe the FijiFirst party does not have that commanding lead as published by the Fiji Sun. If this is true then rigging is a strong contender for the Fiji First party or will it be another coup if they lose. Sayed Khaiyum's evil plans to stop as many of the opposition from contesting the 2018 elections isn't working as he had hoped!
Fiji United Freedom Party President, Jagath Karunaratne and Former SODELPA parliamentarian, Mosese Bulitavu have had their conviction and sentence set aside and a retrial ordered. Both men will stand for the next election. High Court Judge, Justice Vinsent Perera set aside the conviction and sentence against both men claiming the incompetent magistrate had breached fundamental legal principles so the judgement in the case cannot be validated. Sadly, we all know that the magistrate is just another corrupt puppet of the regime. Justice Perera ruled that there is merit on the grounds that the Magistrate had not dealt with the evidence properly so there had been a miscarriage of justice. But we all know that justice and fairness was not the magistrates' objective. In the interest of justice a retrial has been ordered as the prosecution have strong evidence claimed Justice Perera . Bulitavu and Karunaratne were earlier found guilty of spray painting words in different places between Nausori and Suva with the seditious intention of bringing into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against the government of Fiji. IF they are guilty then more than half of Fiji is also guilty and needs to be charged for exciting disaffection against Fiji's dictatorship run by the corrupt, lying, uneducated, treasonous, woman-basher and murderer PM JV Bainimarama and his bomb-maker puppet master Sayed-khaiyum! Remember that Bainimarama and Sayed-khaiyum have done worse things to Fiji that include sedition and treason in removing the last democratically elected Qarase government, acts of hatred in the murder and torture of innocent and defenseless Fiji citizens, the renaming of indigenous Fijian race to iTaukei, banning the indigenous Fijian language from their own parliament, removal of the GCC, calling indigenous Fijians monkeys in parliament, theft of indigenous lands and theft of Fiji loans to the tune of $400 million. So Bainimarama is more guilty of seditious intention of bringing into hatred or contempt or to excite disaffection against the people of Fiji. Aspects of a confidential letter and other documents obtained by RadioNZ Pacific reveals the extent of JV Bainimarama's sheer arrogance, lies, thuggery and total disrespect for the rule of law and the President of Fiji. It also shows how New Zealand's then foreign minister, Winston Peters, prevented the arrest of Bainimarama.
The letter from Fiji's former Police Commissioner, Andrew Hughes, who died of cancer in Australia in August 2018, was sent to the New Zealand Police Commissioner, Howard Broad, on 28 November 2006 - just over a week before Fiji's coup. In his documents Hughes revealed that weeks before Fiji's 2006 coup Fiji's military commander, JV Bainimarama, a half-caste, told the ailing president Ratu Josefa Iloilo that he intended to appoint himself president. This is treason and total disrespect for the office of the President and an Indigenous High Chief! Hughes was a central figure in efforts to stave off the coup and unsuccessfully lobbied the New Zealand police to arrest Bainimarama under Section 117(e) of the Crimes Act 1961 of New Zealand. Hughes argued that "His [Bainimarama] arrest in New Zealand would demonstrate in Fiji that no-one is above the law. Failure to do this will reinforce that whoever controls the military can control the government" Remember that JV Bainimarama, a fourth form [Year 10] drop-out, had tried to usurp power in his earlier coup in 2000 but failed. He then removed the then President, Ratu Sir KKT Mara, and refused to return power to the people until he was threatened by Chiefs. The new government refused to renew his contract as Military Commander so in 2003 he told his senior military officers to plan the removal of the government. The senior and more educated officers refused to support Bainimarama's treasonous plans so he had them all removed. They were replaced with more plaint officers who were far less educated and experienced. Bainimarama was being investigated for sedition and treasonable conduct but in Fiji the police could not get near him. According to Hughes, "He has openly defied the due process of the law by surrounding himself with heavily armed bodyguards of between 20 and 25 in number" Hughes also claimed that "Any arrest of the Commander would have reasonably precipitated a violent reaction towards police, including the forceable release of the Commander". The British High Commissioner to Fiji Roger Sykes, claimed Hughes, also believed that arresting Bainimarama in New Zealand was "the best option". "He described it as 'cutting off the viper's head'". Hughes also warned of an imminent coup stating that "From reliable intelligence sources we know that the first phase will occur soon after his [Bainimarama's] return [from New Zealand], likely to be on or shortly after 4 December 2006". His prediction was accurate. On 4 December, Fiji's military forces committed treason, fanning out across Suva, seizing ministerial vehicles and police armouries. On 5 December, the treasonous JV Bainimarama appointed himself President with Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase being forced out of town. According to Mr Hughes' intelligence, the original coup plan was to unfold with the police commissioner being kidnapped by the military and be held to ransom for the government to 'throw in the towel'. Writing 10 days before the coup, reports RadioNZ Pacific, Mr Hughes noted that "this in itself is not a coup in the Commodore's way of thinking. It is a process to agree to his demands, clearing the way for fresh demands." But Mr Hughes was already in Australia, after heeding warnings that he would face arrest. "The prospect of being captured and detained in this facility by these people is not one which I look forward to," he wrote. His family had also already left Fiji. "We were reliably informed, both through police sources and diplomatic channels, that the RFMF were exercising a kidnap team to take my family hostage." At the end of November, Hughes had accompanied Mr Qarase to New Zealand where talks were held involving Fiji's prime minister and Commodore Frank Bainimarama who had extended a private visit to Wellington. The meeting at Government House in Wellington was held under the auspices of the New Zealand foreign minister Winston Peters. Peters tried to persuade Commodore Bainimarama not to unseat Mr Qarase who had refused to resign - as demanded by Bainimarama. Bainimarama had no authority to demand this. This is treason. Hughes also met his New Zealand counterpart Howard Broad. "I met with the Commissioner and the Deputy until after midnight in their offices, trying unsuccessfully to convince them to proceed with charges. Even though under NZ Law, it is the sole prerogative of the Commissioner to lay charges until the stage of indictment when the Crown Prosecutor takes over. The Foreign Minister does not have the authority to issue an undertaking not to prosecute. Mr Peters acted improperly in my view." In his letter to Mr Broad, Mr Hughes wrote "with the greatest respect and the best intentions of the New Zealand Government, a mediated solution will not succeed unless all of the outcomes align perfectly with his (Commodore Bainimarama's) demands, including fresh demands to his increasingly growing list." In his notes, Mr Hughes said "initially my relationship with the Commander was good. This deteriorated rapidly when he started preparing to overthrow the government." Writing to Mr Broad, Mr Hughes warned that Commodore Bainimarama "simply cannot be trusted". "In my assessment he is a cunning, self obsessed, stubborn, manipulative, divisive, ruthless individual with a short temper accompanied by a propensity to violence." We add that anyone who has had the misfortune to meet with Bainimarama knows this to be true! Bainimarama has a childish intellect with baby temper tantrums! Mr Hughes also argued that Commodore Bainimarama's support within the military was limited and arresting him in New Zealand would pose no major risk for New Zealanders in Fiji. "New Zealanders (and indeed Australians) are generally, almost universally, liked by Fijians. They admire our successes economically, educationally, technologically and most important to them, in Rugby. There is no latent hostility waiting for the opportunity to boil over" said Hughes. Delegates of the Association of Christian Churches Forum also came to see Hughes, "praying for me to succeed in bringing Bainimarama under the rule of law. They referred to Bainimarama as being 'possessed by the Devil'." Major General [retired] Jioji Konrote, Fiji's current President, was tasked by the then PM Qarase to find a solution to the Bainimarama problem, but he betrayed Qarase, siding with Bainimarama instead while reporting to Qarase that all was well and there was nothing to worry about. For his treasonous efforts Konrote was appointed President of Fiji under Bainimarama's dictatorship. In Suva, as Commodore Bainimarama seized power on 5 December, Ratu Josefa Iloilo remained silent. Remember that Ratu Iloilo was a very sickly man at the time and not in full control of his faculties. BUT what was very disappointing were Ratu Iloilo's close advisers, too afraid to make a stand, too afraid to defend Fiji's freedoms and democracy! Mr Hughes said "shadowy supporters" were to be appointed to key positions. He expected the Labour leader Mahendra Chaudhry to become the prime minister and Ratu Epeli Ganilau to get internal affairs. Remember that Ratu Epeli Ganilau was responsible for appointing JV Bainimarama, a low rank navy Captain, military commander over more qualified, more educated and more experienced Senior Military officers. It almost caused a riot at the camp when his appointment was announced! Why would Ratu Epeli do such a thing? Maybe his new ministerial posts under Bainimarma explains that..... They did become ministers in the post-coup government, says Hughes, but Mr Chaudhry got finance and Ratu Epeli defence. Chaudhry was apparently asked to step in by Ratu Iloilo . At the time of the coup, the prime ministership was given to [a very reluctant] Jone Senilagakali, a doctor without any prior political experience. For a month, Commodore Bainimarama unsuccessfully tried to get anointed president by the appointing authority, the Great Council of Chiefs, who insisted that Ratu Josefa Iloilo was still the duly appointed head of state. So on 5 January 2007, Commodore Bainimarama reinstated Ratu Iloilo as president and took over as prime minister - without any experience, education or above average intellect. On his reinstatement, Ratu Iloilo made his first official comment about the events and approved the coup [this was done on the council of his gutless advisers] while urging Commodore Bainimarama to uphold the constitution. The 2009 court of appeal declared Commodore Bainimarama's regime illegal, and Ratu Josefa [under instructions from Bainimarama] abrogated the constitution. And all judges were sacked and martial law was declared. Mr Hughes predicted such an outcome in 2006. In October of that year, he had prepared a statement to all members of the Fiji police. "If you are reading this Minute it will be because the Republic of Fiji Military Forces has taken control of government or a takeover by them is imminent. It is reasonable to believe that they will seek to abrogate the Constitution and enact Military rule." In 2013, the Bainimarama regime rejected the people's constitution that had been drafted by Professor Yash Ghai and his team of experts after consultations with the people. The people rejected immunity for anyone who took part in any of the coups. Khaiyum's illegal constitution, which grants immunity to anyone involved in any of Fiji's coups, was then forced onto the people of Fiji as their constitution. The 1997 constitution is still the legal constitution of Fiji. See 2009 court of appeal ruling. In a comment to the blog Grubsheet years ago, Fiji's corrupt and lying dictator, JV Bainimarama labeled Mr Hughes a 'twit' for thinking of getting away with the arrest of a defence force chief in the Pacific. This highlights Bainimarama's childish intellect! Any "defence force chief in the pacific" or in any part of the world for that matter, is not above the law! Bainimarama said the arrest attempt didn't surprise him and suggested Mr Hughes acted on Australia's instructions. We suggest that the arrest didn't surprise Bainimarama because he was expecting it because of his crimes of sedition, treason and murder since 2000, 2003 leading up to his coup in 2006. The processes and practices used during Fiji’s election will never be accepted by voters in New Zealand and Australia! So why was it deemed acceptable for Fiji? Was it Racism, corruption or arrogance?
These PC buggers were on a working holiday! They ignored the issues raised by the opposition party Leaders and voters concerning vote tampering [rigging], and eagerly declared the results to be the will of the people! Is it because they see Fiji as just another small, poor, undeveloped little island in the South Pacific?..... Fiji’s 2014 ballot papers didn’t contain the name of any political parties or their candidates. Instead, it had a range of candidate numbers, with no party logo or reference. Try doing this in New Zealand or Australia! This might be a different story for the members from India and Indonesia. Voters were forced to remember the number assigned to their political party candidate and then pick it out from a range of other numbers on the ballot paper. Seems the objective was/is for voters to not accurately recognize and select their candidate! Voters were not allowed to take any piece of paper with them into the polling booth to help them remember their candidate’s number. Nor were they allowed to write their candidate’s number on any part of their body! There were threats of full-body searches! Exit polls were also banned. Why was this? It’s not banned in other countries and is used to gauge the accuracy of the results. But not in Fiji! Because the corrupt Fiji First Government outlawed it to hide the truth from the people! An audit of the vote counting process and computer system were also banned. Nor were party representatives allowed to see the ballot papers. Boxes containing ballot papers were then burned without and scrutiny to verify the final results. There were photos of ballot boxes being tampered with and accounts of unfairness from voters - All ignored by the useless MoG. Try doing this in NZ or Australia! They can't! The MoG were only shown specific venues by the FEO, which they seemed to happily accept and deemed it to be indicative of all other polling venues via some corrupt sampling theory! It wasn’t the same across all venues, especially not under Fiji’s corrupt and lying dictatorship that is determined to stay in power by any means or face prison for their crimes! This is tantamount to the MoG being shown a few prostitutes by the FEO, who are said to be clear and free of any diseases, and the MoG then subsequently declaring it a good sample size and therefore declaring all prostitutes in Fiji to be clear and free from any disease! So how the hell can the MOG, who were not present at all polling and counting venues across Fiji, declare with any degree of certainty that the election was all free and fair and the will of the people? Despite the issues, a so called "Professor" in Wellington believed that it was free and fair! Yeah right! Basically the MoG in 2014 told you, the people of Fiji, that you are not smart enough to work it out for yourself! That you do not know when you are being cheated! The MoG even produced a report, to justify their expensive holiday, and made recommendations for improvements. Apparently these improvements are needed for a free and fair election! But the MoG then began to rubber-stamp the results to the rest of the world, that Fiji’s rigged 2014 election was all free and fair! What a load of bullshit! Fiji does not have an independent and competent Supervisor of Elections [SOE] or Minister of Elections, Sayed Khaiyum, who is also the General Secretary for the ruling Fiji First Party and the minister for multiple portfolios, who uses his aunt's private accounting firm to pay the salaries of the PM and government ministers. In addition, the SOE and Minister are related. See any conflict of interest with any of this? The answer to a free and fair election in Fiji is total TRANSPARENCY! From start to finish! Transparency where all political parties, candidates and voters have full and uninterrupted access to the entire election process, systems and results! Fiji has less than a million voters and has more than enough qualified people to do an accurate count, many times over! Hiding the ballot papers from the people can only mean the results are being manipulated and so the election can not be trusted. The people of Fiji don’t need another bunch of patronizing, politically correct dummy observers to tell them if they are being cheated! The MoG members from Australia and New Zealand should apply the same standards expected from voters in their own countries. |
