Fiji's illegal and self-appointed Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama used a lot of nice and fancy words in an attempt to fool the people of Fiji during his announcement of his 2014 National Budget. This is Bainimarama's intention, to fool Fiji into believing his actions are noble and that his hands are blood free! They are not! People need to look past the fancy words that Bainimarama farts out his mouth and take a look at the actions behind the fancy words.
Bainimarama LIED when he said in his 2014 National Budget that “for first time in our nation’s history, my Government will provide TRULY FREE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY school education for all Fijian children." This is a lie because Bainimarama also says that PARENTS are responsible for the full cost of uniforms, lunches, and school materials like exercise books, stationeries and bags for their children. Including extra curricular expenses for Scouts and Girl Guides, Cadets, excursions and swimming classes. All these costs are part of the cost of a child's education. So Bainimarama's 2014 education will NOT BE TRULY FREE! Bainimarama said that no child will be left behind and NO FIJIAN PARENT WILL EVER GO TO BED AGAIN WORRYING ABOUT HOW THEY WILL MEET THEIR CHILDREN’S SCHOOL FEES OR ANY OTHER FEES.” But what about the full cost of items that parents are responsible for paying, but cant afford to pay? Do the parents just ignore paying them and go to bed not worrying about how to meet those fees? Interesting! Also interesting is the requirement for all schools to submit Audited Financial Reports to qualify for grants. The audited financial report will have to be tabled at the annual general meeting and endorsed by the members. The Ministry of Education will continue to monitor this to ensure that funds are properly utilised for the purpose of teaching and learning materials. BUT, what about the Audited Financial Reports of Bainimarama and Khaiyum's junta? They have refused to release the Auditor Generals Report which will inform Fiji and the World how Bainimarama and Khaiyum are spending Fiji's money, where the money is going to, how much each receives in salaries, plus much, much more detail about their corrupt deals! So this requirement for all schools to submit Audited Financial Reports to qualify for grants is hypocrisy and not being transparent! This is Bainimarama and khaiyum saying one thing and doing the opposite! And what if a school cant afford to pay to have their finances audited, in order to access the grant that enables them to pay for the audit, then what happens then?! However, given the "enormous government investment" in education, which cant supply sufficient text books and key items for each child (making homework and study more problematic) a school may fundraise BUT it must first seek the approval of the Ministry of Education, and even if approval is given, no family is obliged to contribute. This saga highlights Bainimarama and Khaiyums attempt to fool the people of Fiji into voting for them. So people are reminded to seek advice to better understand what Bainimarama and khaiyum's fancy words "actually" mean, for you and your children. REMEMBER the phrase "All that glitters is NOT gold" - simply put, this means that not everything that looks precious or sounds true turns out to be so. Just like Bainimarama and Khaiyum who promise to be more than they really are.
