The Fiji Times reports, January 12, 2014, that a Save the Children Fiji study found that a TOTAL of 420 children below the age of five died of malnutrition last year, 2013.
All the new expensive Fiji roads, cheap Chinese loans, free junta rides, increased salaries for Permanent Secretaries and government workers, corruption, lies and the free education that you pay for, did nothing at all for the 420 children who died of malnutrition in 2013. The children died while Bainimarama boasted that Fiji is better off under his corrupt, illegal and lunatic dictatorship. Meanwhile, bainimarama's corrupt family live the high life and continue to steal from the people Fiji. The deaths of the 420 children has revealed the truth about Bainimarama's dictatorship - it is all a fraud, and serves only the greedy needs of Bainimarama, his corrupt lying puppet master, Khaiyum, their bakewas and greedy corrupt families and friends. Save the Children Fiji CEO Raijeli Nicole said it was time Fijians all took a stand to ensure that statistic did not get any higher. However, given Khaiyum's propensity to lie and fabricate results we can only imagine that the real figure could be much higher than what is actually reported. This is tantamount to manslaughter and both Khaiyum and Bainimarama are guilty of this! The report appears to be have been removed from the Fiji Times Online website. But here is a copy of that same report. Save the Children Fiji to fight malnutrition Dawn Gibson Sunday, January 12, 2014 A TOTAL of 420 children below the age of five died of malnutrition last year, a Save the Children Fiji study revealed. And this year, the organisation will aim to halve the current statistics. SC Fiji CEO Raijeli Nicole said it was time Fijians all took a stand to ensure that statistic did not get any higher. "We're really hoping to halve that number so basically it's a challenge to everyone — which 200 kids are you going to allow to die?" Mrs Nicole said in an interview on Friday morning. "It's important that we all start communicating with one another and that's what we're going to be working on a lot this year." She explained that it was beneficial for SC Fiji to have a good working relationship on the ground in communities and villages, which she hoped would make better use of these contacts through a partnership with the Ministry of Health. "There are a lot of barriers with that, but we've got a lot of good relationships on the ground and we're really happy to strengthen the ties we have with the Ministry of Health and government bodies as well. "It's really important that we don't forget the children because if you ask them about this issue, they know exactly what they need — they just really need to be included," she added.
