In this video Fiji's dictator Frank Binimarama explains why nepotism is a good thing. It allows his mediocre family and friends to have very well paid jobs. It does not matter that in the Process Fiji moves backwards and is now a Banana Republic.
Many economists and intelligent citizens believe that nepotism - the practice of giving jobs to uneducated, unqualified and incompetent friends and family members - prevents talented people from getting the job done right, and holds a country back. To get a job in Fiji under the current illegal and moronic Bainimarama and Khaiyum administration , it is all about "who you know" that counts and you must also be willing to "look the other way" and "ignore all corrupt practices by the illegal PM and AG and their friends and family". It's common knowledge in Fiji but say anything about it publicly and you risk being taken to the military camp or into the bush and get beaten up. Subsequently Fiji's young graduates and talented people are believed to be leaving the country each year in pursuit of better opportunities abroad. YOUTUBE Link
