Have you noticed the cost of your shopping increasing yet you seem to be buying fewer food items? Of course you have noticed it and its very frustrating especially when money is tight and other bills need to be paid. Then there is the school uniforms, books, bags and lunches. This all adds up and its NOT going to get any better due to Bainimarama's corruption, greed and poor management of the country.
FijiLive reports that the National Federation Party leader, Biman Prasad, has stated that the price of food items has increased by 60% since 2006. When Bainimarama took Fiji hostage in a military coup to escape from being arrested for treason, murder, corruption and a list of other crimes. A number of other things have risen or gotten worse since Bainimarama, the dictator, took over. This includes:
To cover this up Bainimarama has produced fools-gold in the form of new roads that look good until they are easily washed away by heavy rains, empty promises, fancy words like transparency and good governance that they themselves do no practice, new decrees that apply only to the people and not to Bainimarama or his junta, free school fees, subsidised bus fares and many more lies used in an attempt to buy votes. In addition, the auditor generals reports have also been banned from publication, to hide the truth behind Bainimarama's corruption and theft of state assets. The reality is that the all the free school fees, subsidised bus fares, new roads, etc all cost money that Bainimarama has illegally borrowed and which you and your children will need to repay. For all of Bainimarama's so called good deeds Fiji is now facing its worst economic levels ever, the highest level of unemployment, highest levels of poverty, lowest levels of investment, and a 60% increase in the cost of food items. Most of us would not have had a pay rise exceeding 20%, let alone 60%. Unless you are one of those associated with the dictatorship. In the end, this all adds up to a nasty future under any version of a Bainimarama government.
