Fiji's dictator is desperate to win the elections and to stay in power or it will mean certain arrest and imprisonment for him and his group of corrupt, parasitic friends and family.
Therefore, his illegal and megalomaniac AG, Khaiyum, has been working the system through his corrupt judiciary, illegal decrees, puppet electoral Commission, and his unqualified and inexperienced Supervisor of Elections who has not voted before in any general elections, to rig the elections in the dictator's favour. On September 17, 2014, if elections do take place, voters will be given a fresh booklet of the candidate list, says Saneem, the Supervisor of Elections. Does this mean that the information in the "fresh" booklet will be altered and different to what voters receive prior to elections day? Not sure?! BUT, if it is different then the electoral decree gives the supervisor of elections immunity from prosecution for any fraudulent activity on his part or by his office. With only one day scheduled for elections, will the polling booths be held up deliberately by the dictator's supporters to stop others from being able to cast their vote for other parties? This is possible given Saneem's statement that “No time limit will be given to voters to cast their vote. We are not going to pressure anybody to quickly vote.” The list of candidates – where each electoral candidate will be assigned a number, will be made public at least two weeks before September 17. It will be an B5 size, which is half of an A4 sheet. This means that each candidate and their party will have only two weeksto promote their assigned numbers to voters in over 1000 communities across remote and isolated areas located across 108 islands. The dictator, however, has illegally been promoting himself and campaigning for over 3 years using taxpayers funds and he also has control over the media. Saneem also says that the ballot boxes to be used in the general election are of international standard and will have uniquely numbered tags. But who cares. It's just a box with a tag! What matters is how the ballot box will actually be handled between the polling station and arriving at the counting centre. Then there is the issue of the ballot paper and the counting process and transparency..... "On-the-way" offers many opportunities for fraud. Will the same box that left the polling station with its multiple tags be the same box to arrive at the counting centre? Or will it be swapped or tampered with on-the-way? Independent observers need to be on hand to ensure this risk is reduced! The Fiji police and military can not be trusted to do this task correctly. They still haven't arrested the dictator for treason, murder, sedition and corruption! But can NZ observers be trusted, given the Foreign Minister McCully's eagerness to support the dictator. Sources in the military also said that many international observers in 2006 seemed more focused on having a good time in the islands.......hmmmmm Then there is the case of lying. Bainimarama and his puppet master Khaiyum, have lied to the people of Fiji so many times and broken all their promises, so how will the elections be any different. Especially when both their criminal lives depend on the outcome of the votes going in their favour! So when the Supervisor of Elections, Saneem, says that there would be no spare seals given to any polling station or presiding officer, can we believe him? NOT LIKELY!!
