APRIL 2016
Fiji's corrupt and lying dictator Frank Voreqe Bainimarama told his propaganda publication, Fiji Sun, that the Opposition had got the wrong end of the stick when it accused his Government of trying to destroy democracy. He was commenting on the heated debate in Parliament on a Government motion for the suspension of the Standing Orders, saying “They could not figure out what we want done. All we want was the interpretation. They think we want to destroy democracy”
MADAM Nazhat Shameem, the dictator's Permanent Representative of Fiji to the United Nations and Other Organisations in Geneva, and Ambassador to Switzerland. She was also Bainimarama's mistress, which military sources say was a regular occurrence at Vuda Marina. An issue raised with Bainimarama's by his wife Mary, and Bainimarama's response was to give Mary a good hiding!
MADAM Nazhat Shameem's responsibilities, as per webpage, includes representing the dictator's LIES effectively at UN agencies in Geneva, and furthering strong bilateral ties with Switzerland. But what is more interesting is that the UN members seem to be buying her lies. Wow! Some wondered around the tanoa bowl if the UN members are also corrupt bureaucrats and more interested in their highly paid jobs rather than doing their actual jobs and making this a better world?.... FIJI'S CORRUPT AND LYING AG KHAIYUM stated that the “the appointment of a Commissioner to the Independent Legal Services Commission (‘the Commission’) marks a watershed in the legal history of Fiji". But the Commissioner was fired for refusing to follow Khaiyum's directive! So where is the independence of the Legal Services Commission? It does not exist! Like the courts and every other public sector entity in Fiji, they are controlled by the corrupt and lying Bainimarama and his sly and megalomaniac Khaiyum and their corrupt advisers.
Khaiyum then claims that the corrupt Bainimarama Government is determined that lawyers gain public trust. Having confidence and trust in the legal profession assists, and is an integral part of the proper and effective administration of justice. Khaiyum is clearly farting vocally! Every educated and moral person knows that the Commissioner, including all other Heads of public sector entities are just puppets who take all their decisions from Khaiyum. This is a key reason why investors are not investing in Fiji -- because there is NO rule of Law in Fiji. THE FIJI TIMES reports the corrupt and lying AG Khaiyum telling the accounting profession that there was a need for more accountability and transparency in dealing with the complaints procedure for members of the institute. Yeah right! This is a joke coming from Fiji's most corrupt and lying bastard - Khaiyum.
Sharing some of his major focus for the year, Khaiyum said there were four key areas with a lot of potential for growth: ITC, housing, medical services and Fiji becoming a financial hub. This can only mean more corruption, bribes and intimidation and attracting more criminal minded people to Fiji's shores. Khaiyum and Bainimarama have stolen over $200 million and intimidate, have beaten up or kicked out of the country people who question their lies and corruption. Click HERE to read more by Prof Wadan Narsey telling Radio NZ that Fiji journalists are refusing to ask Khai and Bai about the hundreds of millions of taxpayers’ funds not accounted for; and they are about to kick out Professor Biman Prasad as Chairman of Public Accounts Committee so that all the dirt can be hidden: This is Khaiyum’s standards of accountability and transparency. A number of people have asked why the dictator Bainimarama and his megalomaniac AG Khaiyum, are wearing rings on their right hand middle finger..............
After 10 years of corruption, lies, torture, intimidation and abuse of office by the Frank Bainimarama dictatorship, why are the FNPF members NOW expected to do the right thing when they are given access to their OWN pension savings? Why? To fix their homes? But that's government's job after a national disaster!
Instead the lying and corrupt Bainimarama has been giving out donated goods and money as if he had organised it! HE did NOT! And what about the hundreds of millions of dollars in loans taken out by the Bainimarama dictatorship, that are still not all accounted for, where is it when Fiji really needs it after Tropical Cyclone Winston? Its no where to be seen! ....hidden away in the illegal accounts of Frank Bainimarama, Khaiyum and Nur Banu Ali. So why the hell are the FNPF members, who were robbed by Khaiyum and Bainimarama, had their pensions halved without any consultation, now expected to do the right thing? The stupid and arrogant Bainimarama laughed at signs displayed by FNPF members at the Hong Kong sevens say thank you FNPF! I say good on them. ITs their money and their savings. You can bet that Bainimaraman and his ugly piglets didnt pay for their travel and accommodation to the HK sevens, as per previous events, it was most highly likely the people of Fiji who paid for it. Ever wondered why very little actually gets done in reality, if at all? Click HERE to read RUSSELL HUNTER's article in Fijileaks, outlining the arrogance and incompetence of the bureaucrats!
"It remains to be seem how Fiji will – if at all – celebrate World Media Freedom Day next month - 3 May. For in a land where media freedom is banned by decree there would seem little reason to mark the occasion. In fact in 2009 UNESCO pointedly held an important regional Media Freedom Day event in Samoa as opposed to the traditional venue of Fiji. There was a strong contingent of Fiji journalists present. That was then. This is now. Now a team of regional bodies are again supporting an important human rights and media freedom workshop – in Fiji where human rights are, to be generous, restricted and where media freedom does not exist. The Regional Human Rights and Media Forum has been re-scheduled to 13-15 April due to Cyclone Winston. It is to be held in Nadi and is sponsored by the Pacific Community, PACMAS, the European Union and PINA . As is common in such regional gatherings, the host nation, in this case Fiji, provides the biggest single delegation. Attendees will learn much about rights reporting, media freedom and associated subjects. The promotional material makes much of the importance of human rights and the meeting aims to help the media be the “voice of the voiceless”. But the knowledge and insights gained by many of the journalists present [from Fiji in particular] will be useless to them in their daily working lives. Click HERE to read more. Prof Narsey's article, Millions 'stolen' and there's no protest, addresses a key issue with double-standards in today's society.
EVERY day, says Prof Narsey, there are reports in the media of criminals being convicted and jailed for forcibly taking a few thousand dollars or even a few dollars from some poor victim. BUT there is no uproar by the public, Opposition Parties and/or the local media, when every year, by the laws of Fiji, millions of dollars are taken from the life savings of 300,000 members of the National Provident Fund (FNPF), without their permission! These millions are effectively "stolen" because the RBF restricts the amounts of money that FNPF can invest overseas, where the investment returns are higher. As a result, large amounts of FNPF money:
See Fijileaks article on PIE IN THE NEWS SKY: SODELPA questions rationale of limiting the local content on SKY TV; many had complained, especially Winston victims, who wanted to tune in to keep abreast with the local news updates.
THE FIJI TIMES reports that a THIRD tropical disturbance, TD16F, has formed closer to Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands and is expected to head towards Fiji, following the same track as TD14F which formed three days ago.
The Fiji Meteorological Service has advised that a strong wind warning, heavy rain warning and flooding warning remains in place for the whole of Fiji. Acting weather director Misaele Funaki said TD14F was located about 870km west-northwest of Fiji at 6am. People living in temporary shelters should take the necessary precautions with strong wind gusts of up to 80km/h expected this afternoon and evening. People living near waterways and low-lying areas that are prone to flooding should prepare their properties and move to higher grounds. Fareed Zakaria in his article THE NEXT WAVE, writes that the American diplomat Richard Holbrooke pondered a problem on the eve of the September 1996 elections in Bosnia, which were meant to restore civic life to that ravaged country. "Suppose the election was declared free and fair," he said, and those elected are "racists, fascists, separatists, who are publicly opposed to [peace and reintegration]. That is the dilemma." Indeed it is, not just in the former Yugoslavia, but increasingly around the world.
In 2014 both the New Zealand and Australian Governments went out of their way to declare Fiji’s obviously “Rigged-Election” free and fair. Choosing to deliberately abandon and betray Democracy, and the oppressed people of Fiji, for a military dictator who: • Ignores his own constitution that he had forced on to the people • Is above the law • Committed sedition, rape, murder and treason • Intimidates, beats-up and threatens opponents • Does not separate powers • Is highly corrupt • Deprives citizens of their basic human rights • Does not protect basic liberties of speech, assembly and property, etc. Some of their key tactics included:
The large aid must have been a happy relief for dictator Bainimaarama and Khaiyum who did not have to fork out any of their own stolen loot to help the victims, loot they have stolen from the people of Fiji through corruption. Both Bainimarama and Khaiyum eagerly distributed the donated aid, as if it was from them, to selected areas. Members of the Opposition also donated portions of their salaries for the victims. Many have also profited from the devastations of TC Winston, including the loan shark Banks, Digicel Fiji, and other business. Key local business had no choice but to donate in order to gain favour with the dictator, or risk losing lucrative government contracts. But the big question remains. Will the dictator now become friends with New Zealand and Australia, after their major assistance, and stop his demands to have them removed from the Pacific Island Forum only to be replaced by China? BUT why, some ask, didn’t New Zealand and Australia not help at the very beginning, when they were asked by the democratically elected Prime Minister Qarase, for assistance to stop the dictator? A lot pain, suffering, debt and heart-ace could have been avoided. MARCH 2016
Christians believe the Lord Jesus died for their sins, and rose from the dead on Easter Sunday to give them a second chance. The Bible outlines the beauty of his teachings to live a just life in peace and harmony.
Yet many Christians across Fiji [and in other countries too] over the past nine years have chosen to practice a "selective" and "limited" version of Christianity - mostly smiling and singing the wonderful praises - Praise the Lord!, Alleluia! and they go to Church on Sunday, dressed in their Sunday best with a Bible in hand and sing their hearts out. BUT, for the rest of the week, or as soon as they leave Church, they automatically fall back into their routine where they ignore the basic teachings within the Bible and engage in kakase, lies, deceit and corruption! This is evident in the actions of Saipora Mataikabara, Natuva, Kubuabola and the President Jioji Konrote, calling themselves Christians yet engage in deceit, fraud and corruption and lies on very other day! Thankfully, Not every Christian in Fiji behaves this way. BUT there is not enough of them to make a difference in Fiji against the lies, corruption, theft, oppression, rape and murder under Bainimarama's dictatorship. "Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could do only a little" [Edmund Burke] Media authority doesn’t recognise online petitions
Newswire Fiji reports [March 24, 2016 | that the Fiji Media Industry Development Authority (MIDA) Chairman Ashwin Raj said they will not act on complaints posted on social media. An online petition with over 800 signatories is circulating in response to the Fiji Sun newspaper's arrogant and insensitive posters of a raped and murder child. Mr Raj added that MIDA would not legitimize concerns posted on social media. BUT everyone knows that the Fiji Sun is the Baini-Khaiyum dictatorship's propaganda tool and MIDA Chairman gets all his "independent" orders from the corrupt and lying AG Khaiyum. Click HERE to read more. BEWARE when making donations to help the victims of Cyclone Winston. Please do not make any donations to the Fiji PM relief Fund or to any account nominated by the corrupt and lying Attorney General Khaiyum. None of their accounts and spending can be audited! A 33-year-old driver was admitted to the Lautoka Hospital after he was, allegedly, stabbed by a friend during a drinking party. Police Inspector Weicavu said a hunt was on for the suspect. He advised members of the public not to take their frustrations and anger to a drinking party and to walk away from trouble before it's too late. This is all very true and nice, but it means very little if the dictator Bainimarama and his corrupt family and friends are getting away Scottish-free for doing the same or similar crimes!
The Fiji Times reports Dictator Voreqe Bainimarama stating that his Government is exploring the option of providing financial assistance to individuals whose homes were destroyed by Cyclone Winston. And that discussions would be held with the Finance Ministry to find out if this was possible. The Opposition had requested the President to recall Parliament, so that, among other things, these key decisions could be made for a more well coordinated, thought-out and planned approach for all victims. To provide them with the appropriate aid they need, that fills the gap, in addition to the donated aid.
Instead we have Bainimarama and Khaiyum visiting areas that give them the best publicity, while other victims wait and children become malnourished! CHARLES RICHARDSON in his article Fiji, and the enabling of democracy’s enemies [MAR 18, 2016] writes that Julie Bishop visits Fiji, apparently finding no cause for concern in a military ruler approaching ten years in office. And we wonder why voters seem to be giving up on democracy. This is also so very true for New Zealand's Murray McCully.
Everyone, says Richardson, has their own list of suspects for why people might be turning to the likes of Donald Trump and Marine Le Pen, from immigration to “neoliberalism” to Jeremy Corbyn to Rupert Murdoch. But one that gets less attention than it should is the way that mainstream western governments, over many decades, have failed to defend democracy when it’s been threatened, and indeed have demonstrated positive hostility towards it. Click HERE to read more. Banks get the bulk of their cash from deposits and savings made by account holders who entrust it to the bank for safekeeping and use in future transactions, as well as a modest amount of interest at less than 1%. The banks [Loan Sharks] then make a killing by lending money at much higher rates at usually 8%. So even at 4.5% they will still make a killing. So if these Loan Sharks were at all serious about truly helping the victims of Cyclone Winston then why not 1% interest? Yes, why not???.....
Prof Wadan Narsey explains the incredible profitability of these LOAN SHARKS over the past few years and how much Fiji taxpayers have had to give them even more profits because of the stupidity of the Bainimarama Government in reducing company tax rates. Click HERE to read Prof Narsey's article, “A fairer way to pay for Cyclone Winston” (edited article in Fiji Times, 12 March 2016). The Fiji Times [Thursday, March 10, 2016] reports that ANOTHER $10 million was paid out to 10,000 Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) members as part of the Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston natural disaster assistance. What assistance?! This isn't assistance! It's just giving the poor victims access to their own pension savings to rebuild their lives because the corrupt Baini/Khaiyum government is NOT providing its own funds to assist the victims!
Bainimarama and Khaiyum have, instead, been travelling the country distributing aid provided by others! So where is all the money donations to the Fiji Prime Minister's Office and Disaster Relief?! Where is it and how is it being used?!......Previous disaster relief funds made to Bainimarama's office are still missing! FNPF's chief operating officer Jaoji Koroi states that a total of 80,000 applications were received, with 85 per cent applying for $1000 and 15 per cent for the $5000. Koroi talks as if the FNPF is doing the people a favour! FNPF is NOT doing its members any favours! Koroi highlights what this withdrawal means for the poor members and their families, saying that any withdrawal made from their FNPF account will directly reduce the amount available to them when they retire. This is true! It basically means that members are using their own savings to rebuild their lives and jeopardizing their retirement, which Koroi warns the people against by urging them, when pursuing withdrawals from their general account for Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston relief, to keep in mind the implications for their retirement and cover under the special death benefit scheme. So how is this assistance?! The victims are desperate and need help now! Add to this the fact that the Bainimarama government arbitrarily reduced these pensions by 50% without any consultation with the members. Some members now receiving $50 a month or less to live on, while Bainimarama and Khaiyum paid themselves and their corrupt friends salary increases in excess of 200 percent! Many learned folks claim that Fiji does not need a navy for it has not done much good for Fiji besides burdening the nation with salaries for idle sailors. They claim that the Fijian navy lost its mana when Commodore Bainimarama committed treason in 2000 by ordering the elite CRW soldiers into parliament, with George Speight, to overthrow the democratically elected Chaudhry Government.
In addition, the navy was again used to commit Bainimarama's second coup in 2000, when on a navy ship, he overthrew the Commander in Chief of the Fiji Military and the then President, Ratu Sir KKT Mara. After Speight and his group were arrested some were tortured on board a Fiji navy ship as they were being transported to Nukulau island where they were to be incarcerated. The Fiji navy, in an act that can only be described as childish and stupid, destroyed navigation beacons at Minerva Reef. The beacons had been installed to guide ships and yachts to safety. Then the Fiji navy boats, like their Commander Bainimarama, ran like frighten girls when confronted by the Tongan Navy at Minerva Reef, approximately 1500 kilometers north of Auckland. But when the nation needs them in times of a natural disaster, like the recent cyclone Winston, the navy ships are nowhere to be seen. Unable to leave their cots as they have no fuel?! So whats the use of having a navy in Fiji? Being in charge of war machines carries an enormous responsibility and the Fiji navy, under Bainimarama's dictatorship, has shown that it is incapable of such responsibility. It has become part of Bainimarama's personal army of thugs who carry out his intimidation and torture of Fijian citizens. Therefore, any idea of replacing the Fiji navy's 20 year old Australian patrol boats and an even older Israeli boat comes at a high risk. Bainimarama has proven that the boats can easily be used against Tonga to reassert itself over Minerva Reef or to carryout torture and beatings of Fijian citizens. They could also be seen as a direct insult to democracy, especially when Fiji's 2014 elections were clearly rigged, and being given new boats would only heighten Bainimarama's claim of legitimacy. This would only encourage Bainimarama in his corrupt dictatorship and oppression of Fijians. Fiji's dictator Bainimarama and Khaiyum are giving out AID donated by foreign agencies and local private companies. So where is the FIJI GOVERNMENT AID to its people? Where's your donation to the people Bainimarama and Khaiyum? Non-existent!
FEBRUARY 2016
Much welcome and needed Aid is pouring into Fiji to help people affected by Cyclone Winston. The Fiji Sun reports a French Air Force aircraft had delivered humanitarian aid to the Northern Division that included First-Aid kits, tarpaulins and satellite phones from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The First-Aid kits help in preventing diseases. A water purification plant was also offloaded to purify water sources for drinking in Taveuni. The Australian and New Zealand governments also flew in tons of supplies. The Dictator Bainimarama is also distributing cartons of food rations donated by business entities and NGOs. Some people in affected areas are claiming that they have not received any anything.
So where is the Fiji Government's aid for all the affected areas across Fiji? It's Government's responsibility! It seems that an actual well coordinated and throughout plan of action, by Government, is missing. Donors have also voiced their distrust at giving any supplies or money to a Government agency. This suggests that people have become all too aware of Bainimarama and Khaiyum's corruption. So Khaiyum has enforced VAT and taxes on donations that are not sent to the Fiji government agency. Prof Narsey writes an interesting and poignant article on his blog “Learning from previous cyclones and Winston” (edited version in FT, 27 Feb. 2016). Given the Bainimarama Government's response as reported in the news, it seems that not much learning has gone on in government! Prof Narsey states that our many previous disorganized responses to natural disasters suggests that the Bainimarama Government is correct to request NGOs, humanitarian agencies and donors, to co-ordinate their responses with Government. In a previous article of his, based on Fiji’s inefficient and delayed response to the extreme 1998 drought (and no doubt many other reviews since), he outlined the many natural conflicts of interest that can easily undermine our response to Cyclone Winston (The Fiji Times, 15th October, 1998: “State, NGOs must agree on disaster roles”). Prof Narsey goes on to say that it is unfortunate that despite the frequency of our national disasters, like droughts and cyclones, there is still no Blueprint that all NGOs and donors can follow, for responding coherently to disaster relief, in coordination with the Government of the day. He suspects, and we totally agree, that the important NGOs and humanitarian agencies usually involved with Fiji natural disasters, are still not centrally involved with Government in the disaster management. One indication, says the professor, is the less than useful website of the National Disaster Management Office which gives little indication to the public on how exactly and where they can co-ordinate with Government. Prof Narsey, as do the rest of us, hopes that the website is still under development, and is totally out of touch with the actual coordination that does occur between Government and NGOs [wink]. Click HERE to read the full article by Prof Narsey. The Fiji Times reports that as of Wednesday [February 24, 2016, Update: 5:21PM] the Minister for National Disaster Management, Inia Seruiratu confirmed that Cyclone Winston has taken 42 souls. The death toll is expected to rise.
The Bainimarama dictatorship should be viewed in the context of an intense internal turf war over which “group or person” should have supremacy over Fiji and all its resources. In this case Bainimarama and khaiyum, with help from a few corrupt military goons, police officers and businessmen and women, are winning this turf war.
Meanwhile, the opposition acts like a rabbit caught in the headlights of bainimarama’s thuggery, oppression and intimidation and bullying tactics, incapable of making the hard decisions to render any meaningful and effective response as they did prior to the 2006 coup when they had full access to all the nations resources. Today, now, in 2016, they don’t have access to all the nations resources AND are still incapable of making the hard decisions to render any meaningful and effective response! This is evident in their decision to stop at words while taking no action when all around them they see first-hand, for themselves, all of Bainimarama and Khaiyum’s corruption, lies, brutality, intimidation, land theft and cultural genocide of the native Fijian race! It seems it is not painful enough for them to change tactics. Freedom is not free! It’s expensive! And human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable... "Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals”~Martin Luther King, Jr. Kubuabola, who has been behind all the coups in Fiji, shows his true colours, yet again in a recent photo session with his Foreign Affairs staff who obviously support the existing Fiji flag.
The Fiji Times letter to the editor, Alice in Wonderland, by Richard Naidu.
Naidu refers to the corrupt and lying AG Khaiyum's recent justification of the Speaker's decision to suspend the NFP parliamentarians [on Khaiyum's directive] as not being a "true" democracy. This is "Alice in Wonderland" democracy. Government, says Naidu, is a business to be carried on with respect for everybody. It is not something you make up as you go along just so you can win today's argument. An institution such as the Parliament (the legislature) is supposed to be separate and independent from the executive side of Government (the ministers and the civil service). This is why it is important for Parliament to have experienced, professional — and most importantly, independent — legal advisers of its own. Click HERE to read the full article. This also highlights, once again, Khaiyum's arrogance and disregard for the rule of Law. Khaiyum explains points of law and subjects as if he is an expert. He is not! Khaiyum makes things up and lies to the people to get his own way. Unfortunately many innocent and less educated people fall for Khaiyum's trickery because they know no better. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that people like Richard Naidu, the real experts, correct Khaiyum publicly. Many far more educated people than Khaiyum, who know when Khaiyum is lying, keep quiet out of fear. They must stop this and start speaking out against the LIES being told by khaiyum and Bainimarama! Exposing the LIES of Fiji's dictator Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama.
On the 9th February 2016, the FijiFirst Party used their majority to “endorse” the decision of the Speaker that the NFP MPs be excluded from Parliament and its Standing Committee for one month, because its accounts were not audited by “approved” auditors, who nevertheless had practicing certificates.
The Speaker refused to listen to the very sensible suggestions from SODELPA MPs that she was not right in suspending the MPs, especially on the basis of advice from the Solicitor General’s Office, who is under the Attorney General Khaiyum, who runs FFP and parliament. There was nothing wrong with NFP’s accounts which were totally above board. How extraordinary that the Public Accounts Committee is still investigating hundreds of millions of taxpayers funds not accounted for properly to the Auditor General’s Office by Bainimarama and Khaiyum, who paid their own salaries and perks (unknown amounts) through a private accounting company associated with Khaiyum’s aunty, Nur Bano Ali. How extraordinary that two individuals (Bainimarama and Khaiyum) who refused to be accountable to the Auditor General’s Office for hundreds of millions of tax payers money they have actually spent, should sit in Parliament and suspend three NFP MPs who had been elected by the people of Fiji to hold the government accountable, and whose party accounts were totally above board. What a farce of a parliamentary democracy. What a farce of Supervisor Elections (Saneem). What a farce of a Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. What a farce of the “sewing machine” Speaker of the House. What a farce for all the FFP puppet MPs, with pathetic votes behind them, who roared with laughter in the House, while they suspended 3 honest and accountable MPs from Parliament. What a sad day for Fiji that Parliament has descended to such levels. What a sad day for Fiji that there is no popular protest at this travesty of justice. THIS IS MORE PROOF that there is no rule of law in Fiji, when the Bainimarama dictatorship makes changes to their own decrees whenever and however they want. Fiji's corrupt, lying, treasonous and murderer dictator Frank Voreqe Bainimarama is happy to let his puppet master, Khaiyum, run the country however he wants so long as he, Bainimarama and his piglets, get their cut of the loot. Now the NFP, who have been questioning the illegal expenditure by the Bainimarama dictatorship, is facing the temper tantrum of khaiyum who has "added" test words that do not exist in his decree! Click HERE to read more at FijiLeaks, where Munro Leys expalins the law to corrupt AG Khaiyum and his moronic puppet nephew, Mohammed Saneem.
FRANK VOREQE BAINIMARAMA, the kailoma DICTATOR of FIJI!
The International Labour Organisation [ILO] is visiting Fiji because key negotiations between the Government and the employers and unions stalled after the Minister of Labour, Semi Koroilavesau, who had been heading the negotiations, was replaced by the Solicitor General. So is the Minister incompetent?
Remember that under Bainimarama's Fiji the Solicitor-General is the Chief Executive Officer of the Attorney-General's Ministry. He or she assists AG Khaiyum to carryout all his deeds in controlling the Government and Fiji. So it is clear that Khaiyum intends to trick the ILO, again, into believing that his intentions are noble and for the greater good of all Fijians. RUBBISH!! Through Khaiyum, the Bainimarama dictatorship has broken every promise it has made, including legal contracts. REMEMBER the FNPF contracts with Fiji pensioners! Khaiyum ignored their legal contract and cut the pensions by 50% without any consultation with the poor pensioners. BUT he took over $200 million of FNPF funds to buy his Airbus aircraft that is leased back in a scam to Fiji Airways! Khaiyum and Bainimarama do not care about the people! So why would he care about workers rights! Khaiyum uses Fiji's resources and its workers to build both his and Bainimarama's wealth, and that of their corrupt family and friends. Meanwhile the nation silently struggles to make ends meet with the highest levels of recorded unemployment, poverty and cost of living in Fiji's history. Khaiyum and Bainimarama are not "Rebuilding Confidence for Stability and Growth for a Peaceful and Prosperous Fiji." They are creating an environment fit for them and their corrupt families!! According to the Fiji Times [22 Jan 2016] the ILO reaffirmed its position on the Fiji Government's amendment of the Employment Relations Promulgation (ERP) legislation. Fiji Trades Union Congress general secretary Felix Anthony says the government doesn't seem to realise how serious an ILO Commission of Inquiry into Fiji's labour laws could be. Okay, but Khaiyum and Bainimarama don't care! So will the ILO stop at words or will it stand by Fiji's poor workers? Let's see! JANUARY 2016
LDS area service manager, Adolf Johansson said the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints Suva-Fiji Temple at Samabula was grateful that Fiji's dictators and rigged Prime Minister visited the temple. Fiji's dictator, Voreqe Bainimarama, who committed Sedition, Treason, Torture, Murder, Rape and beats up women even killing an unborn Child, was presented by the LDS Church with a framed portrait of the dictator's family tree dating back 1577 BC.
The dictator visited the LDS temple with members of his treasonous and corrupt Government, including:
Fiji's corrupt and lying dictator, Voreqe Bainimarama, lied again to villagers of Ravuka in Namuka, Macuata. when he said he can not intervene in the operations of the military as he had nothing to do with it now. YEAH RIGHT!
The corrupt and lying Bainimarama told the villagers that his term at the RFMF had ended and the operations of the army was best left to his successor -who takes his instructions direct from Bainimarama and Khaiyum! Frank Voreqe Bainimarama:
Remember, Bainimarama committed sedition, treason, murder, corruption, rape and assaults women so he has no problem with lying to the people of Fiji to ensure they do no vote against him or rise up against his corrupt and lying dictatorship to put him and his goons in prison. Maybe the people of Fiji will garner the strength and courage needed to do just that........ Why are the poor people of Fiji still having to pay up to $400 and more for their children's education when Fiji's corrupt and lying dictator, Frank Voreqe Bainimarama, has been going around the country and the world claiming that education in Fiji is Free?! Because it's a scam to fool the less educated Fijians and the international community that life under Bainimarama's dictatorship is good. It isn't all Free! And it isn't received by all children!
Bainimarama's undeserving grandchildren all receive 100% free education, while the poor children around the country, who really need it, still struggle. Here is more evidence in the FijiTimes of Bainimarama's lies and free Education scam, with poor parents still having to pay for "Free Education":
Fiji's corrupt, lying, rapist and murdering dictator, Frank Bainimarama, provides another example of his ignorance and lack of education in his response to comments made by Shamima Ali, the head of the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre, on a news programme where she said Fiji should consider allowing same-sex marriage.
Bainimarama was quoted as saying, that will not happen in his or Ms Ali's lifetime, saying "Fiji does not need that rubbish." He says that if a woman wants to marry another woman, "they should go and have it done in Iceland and stay and live there." Shamima Ali says it was a totally regressive statement towards an LGBT community that struggles with discrimination. "It's extreme homophobia and really total disrespect for a community in Fiji, and it's just not in keeping with statements that government has been making in terms of human rights, and violence against women, and our aspiration to be on the UN Human Rights Council in the near future." Shamima Ali says acceptance of the gay community has slowly been increasing, and leaders should instead be encouraging tolerance. FIJI'S Minister for Education, Dr Mahendra Reddy is clearly living in a flight of fantasy when he states that [January 10, 2016] the school system in the country had failed to inculcate independence in the minds of students over the past decadess.
Dr Reddy claims that graduates from tertiary institutions in the country lacked an independent mind, adding that more of them were job seekers instead of being independent thinkers who formed their own small businesses. Wow! BUT as the person responsible for education, his system has failed. The graduates also know of Fiji's economic environment that is filled with nepotism and high corruption from the Governor General down through the Prime Minister, Attorney General, and the Government Ministers and ministries and business houses. Corruption is the order of the day in Bainimarama's Fiji! There also is no rule of law and no independent judiciary to protect investments and to settle claims according to written law! Yeah what Law! The laws in Fiji do not apply to the corrupt dictators and their family and friends. Only the corrupt will invest in Fiji under these conditions, and those who are already stuck. Some have tried to make a go of it but did not last long against the established corrupt entities and end up leaving out-of-pocket and with shattered dreams. Dr Reddy said that the Fiji College of Agriculture, in the past five decades of its existence, only two graduates out of the thousands had the independent mind to form their own commercial farms. The dictatorship has been in power since 2007 and has not done any better. In fact they have made it worse as Dr Reddy states that the students are more worried about the chances of finding a job. Dr Reddy went on to say, and here is his delusion, "The role of Government is to provide the legislative framework and to facilitate the provision of public rules so that the public sector flourished, expanded and reinvested into the economy to keep it growing." Dr Reddy said for the private sector to do that, Government needed new minds and bodies to enter the private sector. If we continue to churn out job seekers then the private sector would remain stagnant," he said. Yes we know this Dr Reddy, so what are you doing about it? Its fine to accuse the graduates but the reality is that the environment also needs to change to support the graduates as Dr Reddy outlined. BUT this is where Dr Reddy's fancy words end his own independent thinking stops here because, as we all know, he can only do what he is told to do by the corrupt dictatorship. actually doing about the dictatorship to ensure it provides , maintains and follows its framework and public rules? Nothing! Dr Reddy can only say the right stuff, and this is as far as it goes. but do what he is told The proverbial "shit" does float to the top, and it seems more so in Bainimarama's Fiji. Most educated people of Fiji and those of good sense and morals, have seen through the lies, fancy big words and cheap free gifts. They know that Fiji's dictator is a puppet of the corrupt, megalomaniac, lying and vile AG- Khaiyum junior and together these two criminals have been exploiting native Fijian resources, increasing national debt to fill their pockets, created the lowest ever economic levels ever, lied to the people and continue to do so, operate above the law for them and their friends and family, practice nepotism and corruption like its nobody's else's business, threaten and imprison innocent people and are committing Native Fijian cultural genocide.
Yes, Frank Bainimarama, since 1999, has committed sedition, treason, murder, rape and usurped power from Fiji's last democratically elected Government so he could avoid being arrested and imprisoned. And Khaiyum jumped on that bandwagon to "keep Frank out of prison" while milking the "Fiji" system. So it will come as no surprise that in 2016 the duo will continue their dirty and corrupt schemes, doing everything and anything to stay in power and out of prison. But Frank is of ill-health and is being kept alive by a pace-maker. while his body functions slowly fail. So what are Khaiyum and his vile group of conniving and corrupt plotters to do? We wait and see - fingers crossed!! The smiling face of the Fiji's new President hides his deeper and nasty side. That of a seditious, treasonous and racist human being who talks the talk and pretends to be the "nice" guy. This is only a well rehearsed cover!
What is very interesting is that this man professed that he was called by God to the job [he wasn't. He supported all coups since 1987]. He claims to be a strong Christian. BUT he ran like a girl from the President's residence when "SNAKES" appeared to him in his sleep! IF God called him to the job then why did he run in the night and blame it on renovations ?! Sounds like another FAKE Christian! Bainimarama's two thugs who have been beating up Fijian citizens into submission! Rokoura's reward and promotion to manager role in FRU showed that he neither had/has the skills nor the intellect for the job. Unfortunately, 2016 will be no different with more unqualified and stupid goons being rewarded by the lying, seditious, treasonous and murdering dictator Bainimarama.
WHAT the people of Fiji can expect in 2016 from Bainimarama and Khaiyum, based on their record since 2006:
