Fijivillage.com reports that New Zealand’s Foreign Minister Murray McCully said NGOs and opposition parties that continue to criticize NZ for assisting the Fijian government to move forward and have elections should ask themselves whether the continuous criticisms are helping anyone.
While speaking to Fijivillage, McCully stressed that the NZ government has decided [based on his advice] that the best way forward is to assist Fiji in the preparations for the general election on September 17th. He said there has been so much progress already and this needs to be acknowledged.What a load of rubbish! McCully said the progress that he has noticed since January this year include:
This all strongly suggests that McCully is not a leader and nor is he the brightest spark in the New Zealand Government. We did support the NZ National Party, but not any more. At least, not while McCully and Keys are still a part of the National party.
