Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro says they [Police] are concerned with the increasing number of assault cases they receive on a daily basis. Really?! .... but they are doing sweet bugger all about the torture video suspects who are clearly identifiable in the videos.
Blog sites have also provided the police with the names of the suspects. But still no arrests! Then after a long while, the police report that they are still investigating the incident.... as if they are waiting for their puppet master's finger to activate that proverbial "G" spot before they awaken and do their jobs. Or maybe its because their G spot have disappeared because of all the fear and intimidation brought on by the bainimarama dictatorship. Whatever the reasons, the senior police officers need to step-up, find their groove again, do their jobs and start arresting real criminals and protect the people of Fiji. The dictator Bainimarama and his puppet master Khaiyum say that Fiji is a safe place. Rubbish! Bainimarama and Khaiyum have made Fiji worse than ever. People and tourists are not safe in Fiji - Just look at the dictator's large protection detail. Naive citizens repeat what good deeds they hear and read in the strict military controlled media publications. These are far from the truth. Now the F.B.C reports that a 26-year-old man is counting his lucky stars and thankful to be alive after being assaulted by a group of about 16 boys outside a restaurant in Suva early yesterday morning. While the victim has lodged a report with Police, the police force is unable to do its job. What is also interesting is “An area that we are trying to improve on is our visibility " says Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro. This suggests that the police are invisible or have been hiding for the last 7 years. Or is it because the people know that the Fiji police are now like trained dogs without teeth - ineffective. But what about those officers involved in the torture video? Sources confirmed that they were following Bainimarama's orders to catch and beat-up the prisoners. But lets not forget and remember for a second those large number of people who are unemployed, because of Bainimarama and Khaiyums greed, corruption and mismanagement of Fiji. The unemployed are struggling to make ends meet. Their children and families also feeling the effects. Add to this the pressures brought on by the season holidays and the cries of a little child from being hungry or wanting a toy....... that a loving parent is unable to provide. Imagine that?! People need to live and the fancy new roads, or Bainimarama's multiple salaries and free holidays or his fancy empty speeches and lies or the over 200% pay increase given to Permanent Secretary's, all of these do not put food on the tables of the unemployed. And nor does it ease the sound of their child's cries......... So what is a person expected to do in this oppressed and corrupt junta situation....pray, beg, steal, go to the village.... or, God forbid, choose suicide?......... A lot of lucky ones are emigrating to a more democratic world where there is rule of law, justice and freedom. BUT those that remain must NOT lose hope. For as long as there is life in them and their children they have the opportunity to right the evil created by Bainimarama, who is guilty of treason, rape, murder, corruption, land theft and greed!
