Shazzer & Grubby report the following.
Bainimarama HIDES the Interim Government’s Financial Accounts. Khaiyum has DISSOLVED the Public Accounts Committee. The Public Accounts Committee set up in 2007 was required as part of its obligations to be accountable to the people of Fiji with respect to the Auditor General's reports on the accounts and finances of the state. In 2007 it is reported to have had 48 audit reports to review and act upon. Its functions were to be without prejudice or interference of any individual or organization and was to maintain its independence and carry out its functions with honesty and due diligence to ensure that its credibility was upheld at all times. It was to have powers to examine the accounts of the Government of Fiji in respect of each financial year to determine if proper accounting and use of public funds have been maintained. IN 8 YEARS NONE OF ITS FINDINGS HAS BEEN PUBLISHED, See FijiLeaks article Some of the QUESTIONS they should have ANSWERED are:
The fact he insists on HIDING THIS INFORMATION means only one thing. He has not been telling us the TRUTH about GOVERNMENT FINANCES and his own finances!
